October 2022 President's Update

Greetings all,

The 2022 NACAT Conference & Expo, in Covington, Kentucky, was a great time as we were able to meet again in person. It was really good seeing all who were able to attend. For me, it has been a great year of renewed feelings that I have as to why I became an automotive instructor, as I ponder the changes that are coming our way (electric cars, et al).

If you haven’t heard, the 2023 NACAT Conference & Expo site location was announced. We will be going to San Jacinto Community College located near Houston Texas, July 10 th to the 13 th , 2023. If you are a new teacher, and have not attended one of our conferenes, this is one of the best opportunities available. Click here to learn more.

We have also been working on coordinating more family activities for the conference. We have been adding more information on NACAT ot the NACAT Facebook page and the NACAT Family Facebook page. Members of the NACAT board are updating activities and events frequently. We'll maintain updateson activities that members can chose to partake in while at the conference.

NACAT elections were held earlier this year. Our newly elected members are Martin Duvic, Todd Richardson, and Ronald Morris. If you are interested in participating as a member of the board, we will be recruiting experienced members to be nominated to the board for our 2023 elections.

Another great training activity is the VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo which will be held March 2 nd through the 5 th , 2023. NACAT will be having a booth at the Expo and more information will be shared about the 2023 NACAT Conference & Exp, at San Jacinto College, as it becomes available.
