NaariSamatā is a charity founded on the belief that everyone has a responsibility to take action to ensure the safety of women. Our journey began when we were deeply disturbed by the silence of the Indian diaspora in the UK in response to the escalating number of gang rapes and their brutal nature. In response, we founded NaariSamatā with a focus on women's safety through educating youth about gender equality and respect for women. We understand the devastating impact that sexual violence can have on individuals and communities. With a woman being raped every 16 minutes in India, we believe that it is imperative to take action to prevent such incidents from happening. Our goal is to empower youth with the knowledge and understanding to create a safer world for all. NaariSamatā is officially registered in Britain with the registration number 1194814. We campaign for the safety of women, children, the underprivileged, and marginalized communities and work on issues related to gender, caste, and other vulnerable groups. Our core values revolve around empowering women and girls in India to create a society where they feel safe, respected, and valued. We believe that in today's world, being a passive bystander and waiting for someone else to take action is no longer an option.
