Lukas Rungger e Stefan Rier. Estes são os elementos fundadores de um jovem, mas já reconhecido, estúdio de arquitetura com sede em Bolzano, Itália, e em Berlim, Alemanha. Assume-se como uma network (noa* significa network of architetcure) e destaca-se pelos projetos surpreendentes e pela equipa multifacetada – engloba arquitetos, designers e designers de interiores – que encara cada conceito através de uma perspetiva holística. Ali, em cada projeto, o todo é sempre mais do que a soma das partes.

Mas a network do noa* é muito mais abrangente: dela fazem parte elementos ligados, por exemplo, à moda e aos têxteis, ao design gráfico e industrial, ao som, à fotografia, à escrita, até porque, como nos dizem, “o noa* é como um palco, ou plataforma”, e tem por “objetivo coletivo a utilização de recursos ou especialistas no seu melhor”.

No noa* têm-se idealizado, pensado e dado vida a projetos de âmbito residencial, hoteleiro e comercial, onde o enquadramento adequado na paisagem envolvente é sempre um dos maiores objetivos: “O contacto consciente com a paisagem em que fazemos a construção é dos pontos principais para o noa*. Explorar o genius loci, analisar a alma do lugar, espaço ou ambiente é o tema recorrente que completa a filosofia e metodologia de design holístico”.

Através deste método de trabalho já deram forma a espaços como os hotéis Tofana e Zalinger, a casa Am Steinbruch e os apartamentos Wohnzimmer, ou a loja K&K.

Lukas Rungger and Stefan Rier. These are the founders of a young, but already renowned, architectural studio based in Bolzano, Italy, and Berlin, Germany. It assumes itself as a network (noa* stands for network of architecture) and is recognised for incredible projects and its versatile team – it includes architects, designers and interior designers – that face each concept through a holistic approach. There, in every project, the whole is always far greater than the sum of its parts.

But noa*’s network is far more extensive: to it belong elements linked, for example, to fashion and textiles, to graphic and industrial design, to sound, to photography, to writing, because, as we are told, “noa* is like a stage, or platform”, and has as a “collective aim to use the resources or experts at its best”.

At noa* have been conceived, designed and given life to residential, hotel and commercial projects, where a suitable framework to the surrounding landscape is always one of the main purposes: “The conscious contact with the landscape where we build is one of the heading points for noa*. Exploring the genius loci, analysing the place’s soul, space or environment is a recurring theme that completes the holistic design’s philosophy and methodology”. Through this work process, spaces such as Tofana and Zalinger hotels, Am Steinbruch house and the Wohnzimmer apartments, or the K&K shop have now been designed.

One of atelier noa*’s attributes, and the team that gives it its form, is the constant search for the most appropriate and state-of-the-art solutions. This is
