Apreviously dim alleyway at the heart of Twyford Village has undergone a remarkable transformation, now adorned with a colourful array of umbrellas that never fail to bring smiles to passers-by. This charming enhancement can be experienced when strolling through the alleyway, nestled between Ballards Estate

Agents and La Fontana. The ingenious idea behind this uplifting project hails from a local resident, Mr. Paul Cassidy, who drew inspiration from his time in Cyprus. Partial funding for this community art initiative was generously provided by Reading University, making it a truly special local endeavour for the residents of Twyford.

And while maintaining good hygiene is important, parents need to be careful they don’t go too far the other way. Kids should be allowed to play, explore, get mucky and thrive in their local environments without fear of infection at every turn.

They can build sensible immunity by gentle exposure, whilst still doing what’s required to stay clean, healthy and, most importantly, happy. Taking things too far can create OCD elements in our children, which might hamper their progression in other parts of their lives.
