Wine-Inspired Cocktails You love wine, we love wine, and now that it’s almost patio season we’re excited about refreshing wine-inspired cocktails.

Snow White

4 oz 1 oz ¾ oz ¼ oz 1 1 oz

2 oz 1 oz ½ oz ½ oz

1 ½ oz 1 oz 1 oz 1 oz

Wayne Gretzky Estates Riesling Vidal Icewine Vidal Spirit lemon juice muddled apple soda water

Add all ingredients to a shaker. Muddle generously until apple is incorporated into the drink. Add ice and shake until chilled.

Strain into a highball glass and top with a splash of soda and a few apple slices.

Wayne Gretzky Estates Rosé white rum fresh lime juice Rosé simple syrup

Add all ingredients to shaker with ice and shake. Strain drink into cocktail glass (no ice).

Rosé Simple Syrup: Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup of rosé wine. Stir over medium heat until dissolved.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add whisky, fresh lime juice and simple syrup.

Shake and strain into a rocks glass with ice.

Wayne Gretzky Estates Rosé Spirit $30.05/375 ML

Niagara Peninsula 40% abv

Distiller’s notes: Our winemaker, Craig McDonald, working closely with some of our long-standing growers for Wayne Gretzky Estates, selected the finest Gamay Noir grapes harvested from Niagara Peninsula vineyards. The juice underwent traditional rosé wine making techniques, a short period of skin contact for colour, and a slow cool fermentation, to enhance and retain varietal expression; then it was presented to our distilling team.

The fresh and lively rosé wine was double distilled in a copper pot still to bring forth a very clean, aromatic spirit with 88% ABV. The spirit was then aged for 1 month in a stainless-steel tank to soften the mouth-feel and enhance aromatics, and aged for an additional 5 months in Wayne Gretzky Cabernet Franc Icewine barrels for added depth of fl avour and mouth-feel along with a pretty rose petal pink colour. Pure, naturally limestone filtered, UNESCO-protected Niagara Escarpment water was added to achieve 40% ABV and the perfect balance of aromatics and fl avours. The spirit was then bottled, ready to be enjoyed.

Flavour profile: At first swirl of the glass, look for elegant tear drops forming along the side of the glass. Aromas of strawberry cream, rhubarb, custard, red apple, fl oral and spice rise from the glass. The mouth-feel is smooth, warm and creamy in texture, along with a hint of sweetness. Look for fl avours of red apple and berry to develop on the palate. The finish is long, lingering and warm with a note of rhubarb and spice.

Best served: Enjoy neat or on the rocks, mix with soda water and a cherry or as a replacement for vodka in Martinis and other cocktails.

Wayne Gretzky Rosé Spirit Wayne Gretzky Basil simple syrup lemon juice shakes of Wayne Gretzky Signature bitters orange slice fresh basil

Add rosé spirit, basil simple syrup, lemon juice and bitters to a shaker full of ice.

Smash a leaf of two of fresh basil between the palms of your hands and add to the shaker. Shake until chilled and strain into a martini or coupe glass. Squeeze an orange slice and add to the glass with a piece of fresh basil. Sip & enjoy!
