SEA LIFE displays a kilo. curator Kate Wilson says the team has created cura realistic exhibit that mirrors the penguins’ a realis habitat of cool water, plants, rocky shores and natural ha sand. “We will be feeding the little penguins a healthy diet of tiny little fish, especially whitebait and small whiting, and look forward to seeing this raft of penguins settle into their new home at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast,” she says. As well as this exciting addition to the aquarium, guests will still be able to meet seals, grey nurse sharks, rays, turtles, lionfish and moray eels along with countless other intriguing sea creatures.

SUMMER OF AQUATIC FUN AT SUNREEF MOOLOOLABA Summer is here and there is heaps of aquatic fun to be had at Sunreef Mooloolaba. From scuba diving and snorkelling through to jet ski, kayak, stand-up paddle board, river boat and bicycle hire, there is plenty of great family fun.

QUEENSLAND BALLET DANCE CAMP EXTENDED BY POPULAR DEMAND After selling out its first January 2020 holiday camp, Queensland Ballet will extend its dance camp program at Bokarina’s Venue 114, offering another two-day camp on January 16 and 17 from 9am to 3pm. Created for children aged between five and 17 years, Dance Camp will help them perfect their technique and allow them to practise their pirouettes under the careful guidance of Queensland Ballet’s Teaching Artists. Participants will get creative with sets and costumes, learn current Queensland Ballet repertoire and develop choreography to share and explore with others.

Queensland Air Museum has made its most sizable acquisition just in time for the festive season. The 60-tonne P3 Orion is one of RAAF’s quiet achievers and was used in the search for the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.

It is an aircraft capable of land and maritime surveillance as well as search and rescue operations. QAM volunteers are now reassembling the Orion and aim to finish by June 2020. Come check it out, along with 99 other aircraft. If you crave a slice of aviation history, head to the QAM these holidays. The Caloundra attraction has more than 100 aircraft on display over the two-hectare site, all with captivating histories that you can discover during your visit.
