T
he final school bell has rung, and a whole new world is waiting. No more rushing to beat the morning bell, juggling assignments and exams or counting down the days until the holidays. For the Class of 2026, the school years are officially behind you, and the next chapter is yours to write. It’s a pretty big moment. After 13 years of classrooms, friendships, challenges, achievements and memories, you’re stepping away from the familiar and into a world of
A new world awaits new possibilities. There’s plenty to celebrate, and perhaps a few nerves about what comes next, too. Some of you will be heading straight to university or TAFE, starting an apprenticeship, entering the workforce or packing your bags for an adventure. Others might need a little breathing space to work out what feels right for the next chapter. Wherever you find yourself, there’s no one-size-fits-all path, and you certainly don’t need to have your entire future mapped out right now.
What matters is staying curious, being open to opportunities and having the courage to give things a go. Your plans might change, unexpected doors will open and some of the best experiences may be the ones you never saw coming. Trust yourself, learn from the bumps along the way and remember that success means something different to everyone. As you say goodbye to school, take a moment to appreciate the people and experiences that have helped shape you. The friendships, the teachers who
believed in you, the lessons learned outside the classroom and even the challenges you’ve overcome have all played a part in getting you here. To the families, teachers and mentors who have supported this year’s graduates, congratulations to you, too. Your encouragement has helped make this milestone possible. And to the Class of 2026, be proud of what you’ve achieved. The school years may be behind you, but there’s so much still to discover, experience and achieve. We wish you every success for the future.
