As we delve into the Home & Garden Special Feature of this issue, allow me to share a few fascinating facts about Nashville. Did you know that the Nashville Metro Area now boasts a population of over two million? Nashville was founded on Christmas Eve in 1779 and named after Francis Nash, a Patriot General. Our city is home to the only replica of the Greek Parthenon, where Luke Bryan famously proposed to his wife, Caroline Boyer. “Good to the Last Drop” was coined by Theodore Roosevelt after enjoying a cup of coffee at the Maxwell House Hotel. Nashville earned its nickname, “Music City,” thanks to the creativity of radio announcer David Cobb. And let’s not forget that we’re the proud home of the Grand Ole Opry, the longest-running live music radio show in the world.
As we celebrate the vibrant spirit of Nashville, I invite you to join us at our magazine’s new issue launch parties. Sign up today at MyNashvilleMagazine.com and become a part of our exclusive club. As a member, you’ll receive invitations to the hottest parties, grand openings, and feature events. Oh, and did I mention the prizes? We have plenty of exciting giveaways, including our grand prize—a weekend getaway to Las Vegas!
Thank you for taking the time to read this welcome letter. We are genuinely honored to bring you the Best of Nashville in every issue of MyNashville Magazine. Your support and engagement mean the world to us, and we can’t wait to continue this incredible journey with you.

Step into the world of Lainey Wilson, the embodiment of Southern strength, compassion, and raw talent.
This rising country music sensation has taken the industry by storm, capturing hearts with her unapologetic Southern accent, tough yet heartfelt songs, and a sound that seamlessly blends contemporary country with vintage Southern rock and classic rock. Join us as we dive into Lainey Wilson’s remarkable journey from a dot on the map to center stage in Nashville.
Born and raised in the tight-knit community of Baskin, Louisiana, with a population of just 300, Lainey Wilson’s journey to stardom is a testament to her unwavering determination. Growing up on her father’s farm, she developed a passion for music at a young age, writing her first song lyrics at nine and mastering the guitar by eleven. It was in high school that she began captivating audiences with her electrifying performances, channeling the spirit of Hannah Montana while showcasing her original songs.
Leaving her small farming community behind, Wilson embarked on an inspiring journey to Nashville, where dreams are both made and shattered. Setting up
camp in a humble trailer provided by her father, parked outside a recording studio, she forged her path, honing her skills, and catching the attention of industry professionals. It wasn’t long before her debut album, Tougher, made waves, peaking at number 44 on the Country Albums chart and setting the stage for even greater achievements.
With her star on the rise, Wilson signed with Broken Bow Records and released her major-label debut, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’. Produced by the acclaimed Jay Joyce, the album showcased Wilson’s authentic voice and storytelling prowess. The breakout hit “Things a Man Oughta Know” stormed the charts, earning her accolades and awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the prestigious Country Music Association Awards.
Wilson’s musical evolution continued with her highly anticipated album, Bell Bottom Country. A celebration of ‘70s outlaws and country-rock, this record proved that Wilson was not afraid to push boundaries and breathe new life into classic sounds. Collaborating once again with Jay Joyce, the album skyrocketed to number 9 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart, enchanting fans with its infectious melodies and a refreshing take on beloved retro influences.
Lainey Wilson’s talents extend beyond the recording studio. She continues to dominate in stage presence, noting her performance during CMA Fest in June of 2022 (pictured). With her electrifying stage presence, she has captivated audiences across the globe, sharing the spotlight with country music heavyweights like Jon Pardi, Luke Combs, and Ashley McBryde. Additionally, Wilson made her
acting debut in the hit television series “Yellowstone,” further solidifying her status as a multidimensional force to be reckoned with.
As her star continues to rise, Wilson shows no signs of slowing down. With multiple No. 1 hits under her belt, including the platinum-certified “Things A Man Oughta Know,” and her current single “Heart Like a Truck” climbing the charts, Wilson’s infectious sound and relatable lyrics resonate with fans worldwide. Her critically acclaimed album, “Bell Bottom Country,” has garnered over 161 million streams to date, securing her position as one of Nashville’s brightest stars.
Lainey Wilson’s journey from a small Louisiana town to the heart of country music is a testament to the power of perseverance and raw talent. With her captivating blend of traditional country and modern retro flair, Wilson has firmly established herself as one of Nashville’s hottest breakout stars. As she continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences around the world, the sky’s the limit for this Southern powerhouse. Stay tuned as Lainey Wilson’s journey unfolds, and her undeniable talent continues to shape the future of country music.
I realized at age 9 I could play guitar. As a kid, music would uplift me and make me feel calm, like a spiritual connection. I always felt like music was a language I knew and didn’t have to think about.
It’s as if it was embedded in my DNA. Music was the only thing I thought about and could envision myself doing with my life. I started writing my own music at age 17. I’ve been in the studio world since I was a child and in my 20’s I worked at Odds On studio, song writing, performing background vocals and guitar. I then co-produced my own album that I spent over a year working on. Ultimately, my dream was to soar with singers I looked up to as a kid. When I first heard Rascal Flatts, I identified with Gary LeVox’s vocal range and realized I had a place in the country music scene as well.
I moved to Las Vegas to be a rock star and to escape my country roots of Traverse City, Michigan. Going back home later
when I was older and realizing I AM country and that’s the majority of what I sing and produce now makes me realize how it all came full circle. I guess it’s true…you can take the boy out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the boy. Country music is my favorite genre to sing because I feel like I approach it with

a sort of sophistication. I put feeling and my soul into it. I can sing multiple genres of music and I like to add some flare to my vocals to give it a different spin.
When I decided to be on The Voice, I knew I would sing the song, Easy by Rascal Flatts. When I arrived, they asked if I could sing Rascal Flatts and Journey. I sang What Hurts The Most and Lights. I had to put all my gigs in Vegas on hold and hope they were still there when I returned. It was the biggest test of faith of my life. I was about to not only sing but also play guitar which they had to approve first, because they don’t usually allow that on the show. The lights came on, I started singing and playing guitar and I turned four chairs. In the battle rounds, I got paired with a partner and we were given three songs to choose from. I told my battle partner the only option there was for me to sing Easy. I won a few of the battle rounds, solidified a place in the top 5 and returned to appear on the season finale.
I’m currently performing live almost every night in Las Vegas. My record label, Belle Chasse Records is planning my upcoming tour to support several singles on my new album, I’m Gonna
Live. We recently released a music video and single for Don’t Put Me In A Box and Love With Nowhere To Go. Both were filmed partially in my hometown of Traverse City, MI and in my current home, Las Vegas, NV. I have several more songs and videos to be released this year. Don’t Put Me In A Box has been played on country FM radio since
To Go is hitting the airwaves now. I’ve been traveling nationally, performing and conducting interviews at radio stations. I recently opened for Parmalee in Las Vegas and performed at a festival, opening for Frank Ray. I’m excited about what the future holds and enjoying the progress in my career.
WHEN IT COMES TO GIVING, NO ONE GIVES LIKE
From backyard parties to performing on festival stages, Steven Cade is your up-and-coming modern country artist, with a mission to provide inspiration and hope for those in need of a second chance. Cade’s purpose for performing has evolved from seeing the impact that music has on people in all realms of artistic elements and contributions.
From carrying messages of positivity through his lyrics, to ensuring the sound itself embodies a joyful and feel-good presence, Cade’s music is universal and empowering.
In our interview, Cade recalls the message behind one of his top 5 Spotify streamed songs, “Pinky Promise.”
“This song has a direct message about families and parenting…you respect your family, honor and value it. You don’t always have them forever. It’s a song I feel is a great thing that can bring families together.”
Joining Steven through this journey is his wife Kellee and two children, Levi and Eliana. They travel together across the states to shelters as well as music concert venues and are at most shows and events. The importance of family and faith are significant and recurring themes in his brilliant songwriting. Driving the creative process behind his music is actually finding inspiration in casual conversations, observations, and dialogue from everyday events. Cade describes it as “hearing a phrase that has a ring to it.”
The flow of life not only influenced his music, but it has also motivated Cade’s latest project, which gives back to those in need. It was his own experience with homelessness, and trust in faith that led to partnering with Brent Yates and The Gravity of Up, and Giving Guitars was formed. Brent Yates is a philanthropist, author and entrepreneur. Cade says that without God bringing Brent into his family’s life, Giving Guitars would not exist today.
“He is one of the most giving human beings I know”, says Cade.
Steven Cade is utilizing his passion for music along with his desire to inspire, and tour the United States, serving those in need.
On his Giving Guitars Tour stops so far, Cade has donated over 100 guitars to over 54 different homeless shelters across 13 states, and raised thousands of dollars in
donations for the organizations.
“Music is a gift from God, and using these instruments to inspire is what we are setting out to do.” -Steven
CadeGiving Guitars has frequently been featured on local news stations across the country, taking a deep dive into what this organization means to him and those in need of positive influence.
The main goals of this tour is to inspire individuals who are in need and experiencing homelessness. Also, he encourages people in the community to visit their local shelters and give their time, talent or treasure.
Cade explained that many of the homeless people he has met have never seen a concert or held a guitar in their hand. When Cade goes into the shelters he tells the residents that this is a season in their life, and to not give up. He leaves the guitars with the shelters for the residents to use, and believes that music can really help change and impact their lives in a positive way.
After visiting and touring many shelters, Cade better understands the obstacles that tie into homelessness. These include drug and alcohol addiction, generational poverty, human trafficking, domestic violence, veterans with mental health issues from PTSD, sudden loss of job and income. There are people with highly decorated degrees losing their jobs, as well as seniors who are having a tough time keeping up with the new technology of this era.
Cade’s vision for the Giving Guitars organization is to raise awareness and encourage other artists, influencers, corporate brands, communities etc. to also consistently participate in assisting the homeless in this country. He strives to motivate everyone else to do their part. The more we all help one another little by little, the more progress we will see collectively.
Music is a powerful healing modality during these difficult times, and Cade acknowledges the responsibilities that come with being a great artist. It is the duality within him that creates both a musician and a humanitarian. His mission is to spread love and guide others back on the right path. Because no matter what the circumstances may be, everyone deserves another chance.

“Breaking strings and chasin’ dreams!
I’ve been through the grind, paying my dues and playing the bars and neon lights for the last decade. I moved to Nashville back in 2018 to chase the big times and new opportunities. It was one of the best things I ever did but one of the hardest, funny how that works. I played 200 shows in 2019, sharpening my skills, and even got some opportunities on Music Row. I’ve broken thousands of strings in my 10 years and I’m never gonna stop chasing my Country Music dream.”

DAGS offers a new shade of country-poprock. His newest single, “Sorry I Missed Your Call” originally titled “On The Other Line” debuted in early 2021 at the Commodore Grill Nashville. The tongue-incheek use of phone line and fishing line was a hit with the audience and fellow writers alike. Sang with a smooth grit, this fun uptempo song is prime for County Pop Rock playlists. The use of a fishing hole and a bar to get over an ex-girlfriend isn’t a new theme in Country Music. But his savvy lyrics are.

Regardless of what your pampering of choice is, remember to always follow a skincare routine at home to encourage and maintain healthy, hydrated young looking skin. Keep it simple with the basic three, cleansing, toning and moisturizing. (Don’t forget to hydrate as well to rid the body of toxins and encourage a radiant glow!) Skin care doesn’t have to be expensive either! I’m into natural and clean skincare and after a visit to my holistic esthetician I learned that Honey was a great replacement for expensive face washes! What a treat! It feels like a
spa every time I use it and my skin is beyond soft! In fact honey is not only super nourishing and hydrating but it’s also full of probiotics, is antibacterial and incredibly healing. I use an organic raw honey that has a bit of honeycomb in it, great for exfoliation! I also use a home made toner of essential oil of Frankincense and distilled water. Frankincense has been used for centuries on the skin and is hailed as a powerful anti-aging essential oil. It is said to slow signs of aging amongst many other things. It’s been amazing for me. Lastly, I swear my castor Oil on my face and body. It does not clog pores and it’s a packed with much needed essential fatty acids our skin needs and penetrates deeply hydrating the skin like nothing I have ever tried before! One little secret to remember when using castor oil is that less is more! Also, be sure to massage it into your skin in a circular motion. Trust me, your skin will glow! (I also mix in various essential oils depending on what I feel my skin is in need of at the time. Lavender, rose, orange, clary sage, frankincense, ginger etc.) Feel free to experiment and see what works best for you!

Story By: Tami FinsethWe all know the importance of not only being healthy but living healthy. But how do we get there? And most importantly, how do we stay there?

(The right way!)
Unleash your potential with Ashley Khristine, a fitness and mindset coach that is dedicated to helping you live the fit life. Through her social media platforms and online presence, she spreads her message of empowerment and selflove to a global audience. Her authentic and relatable content inspires countless individuals to embark on their own transformative journeys, igniting sparks of change and inspiration in every corner of the world.
Embarking on your health journey can be overwhelming, especially when you don’t know where to start. But it’s people like Ashley that are a beacon of motiva-
tion, truly making a difference in people’s lives, our community, and virtually, on such a large scale.
My mindset around traveling used to be a lot different than how it is today.
Icommitted to: I will find a balance with health even when I travel so I can have the best of both worlds and that’s exactly what I did.
Wouldn’t you love to come back from a trip to find out you dropped 5lbs?
I think the number thing is definitely a mindset. Most people when they travel get into this mindset of “Hey, it’s vacation!” and go all out, then feel bloated when they get home from over doing it. Wouldn’t it be nice to truly feel refreshed when you got home?
If that’s what you want, then let’s change that mindset to finding balance while on vacation so you can enjoy yourself and feel great.
FOOD WHILE TRAVELING
Let’s face it, most places these days are extremely accommodating to someone living a healthy lifestyle, so when you sit down in a restaurant, instead of falling into old habits and going for the pizza or burger, opt for something a bit healthier such as burger with a lettuce wrap and fries.
Yes, I said fries.
You can have that balance and not be totally screwed up. But let’s say you just do chicken and vegetables for lunch then for dinner you want something bad. Then go for it! 1. you are on vacation and 2. one meal won’t screw up your progress even if you do it 3 days in a row!
I did that little trick for a week in Miami and it was totally fine because 80% of my eating was good and we stayed so active while we were there. Which is another tip, I’ll share in a few.
Staying on the topic of food, if you are traveling and know that there are only fast-food places on the way to your destination, then pack healthy options! You can get easy snacks or pack a cooler full of goodies for yourself. It really is that simple.
Just recently, we went on a quick trip, I knew I’d probably get hungry because of traffic and I know my habits… if I don’t have healthy snacks then i will be walking into a gas station and picking up candy in no time. So I packed up my healthy snacks and when we hit the gas station, I thought about the candy but knew I wanted ice cream and wine later so chose to stick to what I packed and passed on the candy!
So, my tips: pack healthy options and pick healthy options 80% of the time while you are traveling. You will feel better energy wise and more confident because you kept your word to yourself.
This used to be my biggest mental block because the gym I use is amazing and I always feared that I wouldn’t get an amazing workout while traveling, but
then I realized how great it is to switch up my routine and do different exercises! It’s a great way to get sore, and do something new and exciting. Plus, it keeps me creative because most gym hotels suck!
So now, I just pack my bands, workout in the hotel for 10 minutes and for cardio, I aim to do 20 minutes of walking around and exploring to get in my workout. A lot of times, we overthink things and feel that we have to be in a gym to actually workout but that’s not the case.
You can stay active by doing simple body moves, using bands, using luggage as weight then go out and walk around. Don’t stress about not doing your exact normal routine. Focus on the positive on how you actually got active. That’s a huge win!
Kia Kenney, owner of three Arthur Murray Dance Center franchises, is the epitome of an amazing woman. Her studios, located in Nashville-Green Hills, TN, Cambridge, MA, and Worcester, MA, keep her moving faster than a Mambo. An incredibly talented dancer, savvy businesswoman, and owner of award-winning studios, Kia puts excellence in every facet of her life.
Ironically though, she never saw herself being the well-decorated dance champion that she is. “My first memory of anything dance was a ballet class I went to with a friend when I was 6 years old” reveals Kia. “I thought, nope! I’m out of here. Clearly this is not my forte!” She chose to focus on sports, particularly basketball, and set her vision to being part of corporate America.
Kia Kenney’s dance career began when a friend of hers was in Boston for the summer and looking for dance jobs. He found an Arthur Murray Instructor ad and wanted to pursue it. He asked Kia if she would be interested in joining him for some lessons. “We walked into the Boston Arthur Murray studio, and I felt like I had stepped into the movie, Dance with Me,” recalls Kia.
“The vibe, the people, the decorations….it was a little crazy for me,” laughs Kenney. Kia and her friend took 4 Arthur Murray dance lessons, and in a chat with the studio owner about job prospects for her friend, Kia spoke up in what she describes as “A rare moment of external vs internal expression” and said, “Maybe this is MY niche.”
Having started to get an itch for having the Arts back in her life, the idea of being in the business of ballroom dance seemed like a potential blend of both her love for the analytical skills being honed in
her role of corporate consulting that she was currently occupying and the rightbrained artistic training of her youth. Kia grew up in a very musical family with her mom being the Music and Arts director at church. Kia always loved being part of any church musical that was happening throughout her junior high and H.S. years, as well as those highly anticipated summer youth group trips with performing teams.
Kia spent her first year at Arthur Murray Dance Center in Boston teaching new students, as well as, getting the studio automated from manual processes to a new software platform. She excelled at teaching, learning so much about motivating others in a new skill, working with different personality types, and planning personalized dance programs. This led to her becoming one of the Top 5 Arthur Murray teachers in the world. This was all driven by a deep-rooted passion for giving others the belief that they could have the joy and confidence that she herself had gained from learning to social dance. To Kia, this represents the most rewarding thing about teaching dance. “Dancing for so many people present personal roadblocks of fear, insecurity, shyness, and general discomfort,” Kia submits. “Having felt all those things myself and having then experienced the personal freedom that learning to partner dance offers for the rest of one’s life, I love breaking off those handcuffs for others!”
Kia believes that teaching dance is gifting others with more joy in life than they had before dancing, and that comes in so
many different forms. “Finding the confidence to dance socially for the first time; feeling the achievement of a personal skill obtained outside of their work life, finding a new connection with their life partner, feeling feminine and beautiful despite the calls for strength all day at work, having the courage to ask women to dance, de-stressing after a hard day, discovering a community of new friendships, watching paralysis fade from the new form of movement, losing weight and feeling great again: the testimonies are endless. These benefits of learning to dance are sometimes simple yet other times very deep,” states Kia.
Commitment, patience, and perseverance with yourself, your partner, and the process is the hallmark of the Kia Kenney philosophy. Kia practices 5-6 days a week for 3 hours. 45 min of that time is physical self-preparation and practice of core skills or personal needs, and the remainder of the time is with her partner Christian Lightner.
She’s competed in Banff, Prague, Barcelona, Cancun & Venice as well as US events in L.A., Naples, Boston, San Francisco, New Orleans, New York, D.C., Texas, Chicago, and Seattle. And although the competition dancing is a thrill for Kenney, she still manages to tackle the daily demands of running, managing and owning her award-winning studios so gracefully.
MYNASHVILLE magazine applauds Kia Kenney for all that she takes on in the business world, while changing people’s lives one step at a time in the dance world.
MyNashville’s top professionals to keep your home and garden looking it’s best!
Being a wife mom and a business professional who works crazy hours, it can seem impossible to keep up with staying clean and organized. However I have found these tips and tricks help me stay on top of things throughout the week!
1
Use an app to keep track of your grocery shopping list. I personally use an app called “Out of Milk” it tracks my shopping trends, coupons at my local stores, and the best part is my husband and kids also downloaded the app and we can all update the shopping list in real time this way we never have to double back to the store (it’s a real time and money saver).
2
Take 15 mins out every night to clean the following. Do the dishes after dinner, vacuum and sweep (I have a dog so vacuuming needs to be done daily in my house) if you don’t have pets you can do every 3 days or so. And take out the trash. This keeps my home tidy during the week and allows me to just do the detailed cleaning on the weekends!
3
Make sure to clean your bathrooms weekly. I always keep separate cleaning products directly in the bathroom under the sink, this way they are right there when I need them. Wipe down the sink and fixtures, clean the toilet itself (gross, I know sorry, I hate this part) then clean the shower and don’t forget to clean the shower doors or shower curtain! Next sweep and mop the flooring.
4
Laundry also should be done weekly. My laundry is usually done on Friday nights. I don’t know about you, but folding laundry and hanging it up is my least favorite part. I find watching a good tv show or my new obsession listening to a good book helps me get it done in no time, I guess it’s because my mind is somewhere else.
5
Don’t forget to donate or throw away unused items once a month! I clean out my pantry once a month and donate any food that isn’t going to be eaten any time soon, same with my families clothes (I have two growing sons) when the jeans and sneakers get to small it goes into the donation pile and gets dropped off once a month. Same for my clothes as well. I’ve lost a ton of weight and keep losing so I am donating all my clothes that are now too big. My rule is if we haven’t used it in a month and don’t think we will be using it next month it gets donated or thrown out! This way we avoid clutter and hoarding.
The main thing to remember is a little mess never hurt anyone, and family time should always come first, we all aren’t perfect. But if you can try this routine or even add in some to-dos of your own it will cut down on your stress immensely and give you more time on the weekends with your family. AND THAT’S WHATS IMPORTANT! MN

Unhealthy water is the #1 cause of death for children in the world. When we hear this, we think of 3rd world countries, and we should. But, it greatly effects adults as well, and yes, in America – you & me. I am a Chemist & BioChemist, working in the water treatment field for 47 years, both in the USA & 3rd world countries. As Americans, we need to be educated on water.
The greatest exposure Americans have to carcinogens is in the shower. Just as the 2nd most effective way to inject a drug into our bloodstream is inhalation, we need to realize that whatever toxins, hormones, and /or carcinogens are in our water, inhalation of shower mists will result in the water contaminants to be absorbed directly into our bloodstream in 3 seconds as we breathe in the shower mist. We should have concerns regarding what is in our city waters, such as pharmaceuticals, hormones, fluoride (among many concerns regarding fluoride is that it is a hormone confuser). And the big one – carcinogens – are formed from the regular breakdown of chlorine in the presence of organics – particularly when potable water sources are lakes & rivers. Well water concerns are heavy metals, mal taste and/or smell, along with viruses & bacteria, depending upon the water.
Prior to 2004, our home regularly tested over 10 ppm of chlorine in city water from our kitchen faucet. The government did not have strict chlorine guidelines prior to 2004 for potable
water. Yet, if a public swimming pool tested over 3.0 ppm of chlorine, it was mandated that everyone get out of the pool. But, the allowable drinking water limit for chlorine by the government is 4.0! The conclusion? We need to self-educate and take personal responsibility for ourselves and our family.
It is important to know (1) what is in our water, (2) what potential substances can be in our particular water periodically, (3) how can we affordably treat each of the constituents of problem water throughout our entire home. Aesthetically, (4) what is necessary for our water to taste great & have no obnoxious smell, & (5) prevent our water from spotting or staining dishes, commodes, or damaging water using equipment in the home such as shower nozzles, dishwashers, and water heaters – particularly if we have an instantaneous water heater, as hard water will damage and often void a warranty.
As a consulting water chemist to the automotive industry, I had developed a catalytic treatment system specifically for metals removal at a large automotive engine manufacturing plant. The result was that it both saved the need for a $3M waste treatment plant, and potentially kept jobs from moving out of the USA. But the unintended realization was that it was a fantastic treatment system for city and well water, for it would not only remove carcinogens, toxic heavy metals, but also fluoride, hormones, pharmaceuticals, various fertilizers, chlorine, high hardness, mal smells & taste, yet leave in the good constituents of water such as the bicarbonates. This technology, developed by Applied Technologies Resources,
referred to as SpringPure, was a breakthrough for affordable, effective residential water treatment. It is so effective, these toxins and more are listed right on the label – quite different from conventional water treatment systems.

Keeping up with home maintenance, especially as a new homeowner can be a daunting task, and something we often forget about. Follow our Top 5 Home Maintenance Tips that will save you from unnecessary costs and damage to your home. The more you care for your home, the more your home cares for you!
Your water heater is used every day, which means you probably have buildup and sediment inside. All you need is a bucket and common knowledge of your tank; this will greatly help the longevity of your system.
The dreaded beep of the smoke detectors. Changing these batteries at least once a year is always the smart choice to avoid those annoying beeps, but also to always make sure your home is safe from unsafe exposure.
Every faucet you can think of, and even the toilet, should be checked every couple of months for leaks. It is usually just an old washer that needs to be changed, but this simple fix can save you from mold, paint damage, water damage, and wood rot.
It’s safe to say we all want to avoid dryer fires. If your clothes aren’t drying quick or there is a weird smell, it may be time to clean the vent. And the same goes for your air ducts, and while you can clean ducts yourself, it’s best saved for a professional.
Want your air conditioning and heating unit to last longer, peek at your air filters every couple of weeks and see if it needs to be changed- especially during cold winters and hot summers when the unit is constantly on!
Every faucet you can think of, and even the toilet, should be checked every couple of months for leaks.
Brad Ashby is the owner of 360 Painting, a home improvement company located in the Greater Nashville area that specializes in interior/exterior painting of residences and commercial properties, alike.
Despite his extensive experience in the hardware industry, Brad Ashby initially had no desire to get into painting and home improvement. Actually, he had spent 18 years traveling, doing sports broadcasting prior to owning 360 Painting. Inspired by the thought of having a business to pass on to his 13-, 11-, and 8-year-olds, and coupled with his knowledge of the industry, Brad finally decided that it would be a great investment. Presently, 360 Painting of Greater Nashville is a leader in their industry, but what differentiates them from others is they’re not limited to painting. They offer services such as pressure washing, wood repairs/carpentry, surface protection and cleanup. They’ve even done parking lot striping, as well.
360 Painting of Greater Nashville has clients that range from residential, to commercial, to municipal. They service some of the local universities, a preschool and some of the government buildings that you may have passed while traveling in the Greater Nashville Area.
Aside from being able to build several relationships in the past year that allowed him to expand into the commercial market, building a company that people can trust is what Brad considers
to be his greatest professional achievement. He mentions his many 5-star reviews glowingly, but does so in a way that reads as more humble than braggadocious. Ironically, one of his greatest achievements (the growth of his company) has been one of his biggest challenges, as often proves true with business. For example, when you complete residential service, you get paid that day. When you do commercial work, you may have to wait 60 to 90 days to get paid for the work you do. Lingering invoices notwithstanding, the driving force behind the philosophy of 360 Painting is a true love of craftsmanship, quality work, and excellent service, not just turning a quick buck.
With this in mind, Brad Ashby has some words of wisdom for our readers regarding how to choose the right provider. “Vet a company first”, instructs Ashby. “Do your research”. Next, Brad states that people want a sense of confidence in their service provider, but most people make decisions based on price, and that may be counterintuitive to the objective. Simply put, the cheapest bid isn’t always the best bid. When it comes to your home, you want good quality work that lives with you, not work that you just have to live with.

Water is one of the most important things we have. But did you know that the seemingly innocent water in your home could be silently exposing you to a cocktail of contaminants?
One local business owner stands out for his dedication to providing high-quality whole-home water filtration systems that have the power to transform lives. Introducing Dennis and Christina Bynum, the visionaries behind H20 Water Biz, dedicated to spreading the transformative power of pristine, chemical-free water to as many people as possible.
Dennis’s journey began with a heartfelt desire to follow in his late father’s footsteps. Raised in the business, he witnessed firsthand the remarkable impact that proper water treatment can have on people’s lives. Although his path initially led him elsewhere, the memories of his father’s achievements eventually resurfaced, guiding him back to his true calling.
Today, Dennis is proud to be a part of the water filtration industry, bringing cutting-edge technology and affordable solutions to homeowners across Tennessee. He proudly installs Go Green Best
Price Water Systems, which feature specially patented ionizers and VORTECH plates. These systems offer state-ofthe-art, 21st century hybrid technology that require zero maintenance and guarantees exceptional performance for 15 years.
From reduced skin irritations to improved plant growth, the positive effects of clean, pure water are boundless. With the right water filtration in your home, you are free to enjoy life with one less worry, while fostering healthier lives for yourself, your family, and your furry companions. Not to mention, you’ll never need to buy bottled water again!
Dennis adds, “We all know that there isn’t a chance our water is going to get any better, so bringing what we have to offer to all-- eliminating these volatile chemicals which have been proven to cause cancer, will be a huge blessing.” Looking ahead, Dennis looks forward to expanding his reach, earning more customers one filter at a time.
Dennis passionately imparts an essential message: we must take control of our water and, consequently, our health. Contrary to popular belief, merely paying a water bill doesn’t guarantee the quality of the water we consume. He also shares that in most cases in Tennessee, it’s not a hard water problem, it’s a volatile chemical problem with our waterchemicals like chorine, heavy metals, arsenic, and so much more. It’s time to change the way we think about water. It’s time to Go Green!
