They have not one, but two incredible locations in the valley. Cubanidad 1885, originally located in Summerlin on Fort Apache, recently opened a full concept restaurant in Henderson and we had the opportunity to stop by the location and try some of their delectable menu items.

Tucked away amidst bustling Eastern Avenue, you’ll find an instantly welcoming and warm atmosphere, as you’re taken in by the smell of fresh meats cooking. Their menu, featuring classic Cuban sandwiches, like the “305” Miami Cuban with smoked ham and roasted pork, to homemade pastries and croquetas, it’s clear that the minds behind Cubanidad value and embrace the essence of authenticity and tradition.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the lechon. Cubanidad’s lechon asado is a true work of art. The succulent, slow-roasted pork is expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The meat is tender, flavorful, and boasts a mouthwatering crispy skin that adds an irresistible crunch to each bite. The lechon alone is worth the visit.

Accompanying the roasted pork, along with any of the completas, are a delightful array of traditional sides. The Cuban rice, a fragrant medley of seasoned rice and black beans, is a comforting and satisfying complement to the pork. The fried plantains, sweet and caramelized, provide a delightful contrast of flavors. And let’s not forget about the homemade fries—seasoned to perfection.
