It all started with Kay’s “A-Ha!” moment while living in Indianapolis back in 2010. Tired of their dead-end jobs and feeling unappreciated, Kay and Gary decided to take a leap of faith and start their own dance company. Fast forward to today, and Nova Star Dance Company has become a beacon of inspiration for students of all levels, helping them reach their full potential.

But it’s not just about business for Kay and Gary. As a happily married couple, they’ve learned to balance their personal and professional lives with humility, respect, and communication. They make sure to leave work at the door when the workday is done and focus on being present with each other. Both beginning their dance journey at young ages, this go-getting couple both came from competitive dance backgrounds. Kay’s experience working in various groups and styles, and Gary’s background in event performing and acrobatics, gave them a unique perspective on how they wanted to run Nova Star Dance Company.

The couple’s experience and passion for dance allowed them to create a dance company that provides students with customized instruction that fits their learning style. Kay adds, “Our mission is to awaken the star in everyone. So even though Nova Star Dance Company does provide lessons for competitive students, we also have a strong focus on beginners.” Nova Star Dance Company’s mission is all about “Awakening the Star in Everyone.” They distinguish themselves from other dance companies by providing VIP private lessons that are customized to meet each student’s needs. And they’re not just limited to the Las Vegas Valley. They offer online lessons nationwide and are even launching an international program, starting with Japan. They also provide dance entertainment for corporate events, parties, and more!
