PAM HEALTH

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Las Vegas understands the vital role supervised rehabilitation can play in a patient’s recovery from severe illness or injury. A long-term acute care hospital located in Northwest Las Vegas, the hospital features 70 licensed beds and a medical staff of more than 300 physicians. In addition, the hospital is Medicare-certified and accredited by The Joint Commission.

“We specialize in treating medically complex patients who require extended hospitalization before they can return home,” explains Shawn Todd, National Resource CEO at PAM Health. “We approach each patient as individuals and consider their personal histories and unique health situations as we develop their plan of care. Our compassionate team members will do everything they can to help our patients achieve their highest possible recovery goals.”

Treatment Philosophy

At PAM Health, we believe providing early and aggressive intervention in a critical care setting gives our patients the best chance at recovery from acute injury or illness. Compared to lower levels of care, rehabilitation at an acute care hospital has been shown to result in better long-term patient outcomes, fewer readmissions to the hospital and shorter recovery times overall.

Examples of the services offered include:

• Ventilator weaning

• Advanced wound care

• Hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis

• Cardiac monitoring

• Pharmacy services

• ICU-equipped rooms

• Bariatric accommodations

• Physical, occupational, and speech therapies

• General Surgery with on-site procedure room

• Radiology capabilities

Staff Members And Experts

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Las Vegas employs knowledgeable, experienced physicians and other medical staff members with knowledge in a range of specialties. The treatment team includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists, and therapists across speech, physical, respiratory, recreational, and psychological therapy disciplines. This transdisciplinary approach helps accelerate patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual recovery.

Admissions Process

Like other long-term acute care hospitals in Las Vegas, PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Las Vegas admits patients who are referred to us by their acute care physicians after an initial period of hospitalization. However, representatives also consult with patients and family members who reach out to them directly for inpatient treatment.

The first step in a patient referral is to send a patient coordinator to meet with them and assess their needs. If the patient decides to move forward with long-term acute care, the patient coordinator will continue to represent their interests, working with acute care discharge team and the patient’s insurance provider. This service helps ensure a smooth transition into long-term care while allowing the patient to relax and focus on healing. To learn more, call (702) 562-2021.
