Remembering a loved one

5TH GRADE TRANSITION SERVICE 2016 Rites of passage, like VPC's 5th grade Transition Service, mark a special stage of life with a ceremony, and provide a special opportunity for families. Fifth graders spend four weeks in a class led by Student Ministry leaders. In this class they learn about the meaning of communion, build relationships with each other and volunteer leaders, and spend time with other Junior High students that help with the class. This helps ease the transition into Student Ministry by building connections and prepare students for more frequent community worship opportunities.

The class culminates in a special worship service this afternoon, led by the 5th graders.

The service includes communion, and is made even more memorable by the presentation of an individual blessing presented by their parents during the service. Many of these students will help with communion on May 2.

Please join us in praying for this celebration of our fifth graders tonight!
