
Snow and Ice Service Agreement: Winter 2023 – Spring 2024
Once again, NLS is offering snow and ice control services to our clients this winter. You may choose PREVENTATIVE services (pre-event) and/or REACTIVE services (during / post-event) according to your site requirements. Due to limited resources available, please respond by October 13, 2023. PLEASE NOTE: Billing is based on the time (including travel) and materials pricing (listed below) used to complete the task. A site map is required, that highlights areas to be serviced. Pricing effective 11/1/23 - 3/31/24. There is a $350 minimum charge for each Preventative Service visit where product is used and $500 minimum charge for each Reactive Service visit.
Section A: Automatic Preventative Services – I understand that no confirmation is needed from me to initiate deployment services
(Pre-Event)
Site Monitoring (No product needed or applied): $100/hr
Sidewalks - Granular Ice Melt: $100/hr plus $2.50 per lb of material
Drive Lanes - Liquid Deicer: $165/hr plus $9 50 per gallon
Equipment Staging/Mobilization: $750/per machine per day
* Preventive de-icing is performed when area temperatures are forecasted to fall to 34 degrees or below w/precipitation present per local NOAA Forecast.

Sidewalks – Shoveling & Granular Ice Melt: $125/hr plus $2.50 per lb of material
Drive Lanes – Liquid Deicer: $275/hr plus $9 50 per gallon
Drive Lanes – Snow Plowing: $375/hr
Lot Clearing – Heavy Equipment: $650/hr & requires staging/mobilization fee and $1,000 per machine per day
** Monarch deploys for snow removal at a 1” depth & de-icing when area temperatures are forecasted to fall to 34 degrees or below w/precipitation present per local NOAA Forecast.

TERMS OF AGREEMENT: Client agrees to the terms and conditions stated in this Agreement. NLS will apply commercially available de-icing products as directed by the client and will apply such products in accordance with product label instructions. Although the products may be designed to minimize damage to surfaces, repeated freezing and thawing cycles can damage concrete or other hard surfaces, and Client agrees that NLS is not responsible for any damage or deterioration of such surfaces resulting from their use. Client further agrees that NLS is not responsible for accidental property damage incurred during service unless caused by NLS’ negligence. Client understands that the snow and ice services performed under this Agreement are not intended to and will not eliminate all hazards associated with the presence of snow and ice within walkways, sidewalks, drives, and other surfaces. NLS does not warrant or represent that the client’s property will be free of hazards or dangerous conditions following the performance of services under this Agreement, NLS shall have no obligation to warn or protect others from such hazards or dangerous conditions. Client understands that NLS shall not continuously inspect or monitor the Client's property, and that thaw and refreeze events may occur despite NLS' services under this Agreement which may result in dangerous or hazardous conditions within walking surfaces. Client agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold NLS harmless for any claims (including any claims by client’s own employees) for alleged failure to discover, to warn, to prevent, or to protect others from all hazards or dangerous conditions that exist on the Client's property related in any way to the presence of snow, ice, or other hazard, including personal injury. Related to the services performed under this agreement, the foregoing indemnification obligation shall supersede and replace any indemnity and insuring obligations that may otherwise exist under the terms of any other writings between Client and NLS.
