Music Therapy Program At Library
Music therapist, Rich Boban, leads “Singalong with Rich!” ___________________________________
A new music therapy program is coming to the Hammond Public Library in 2017. “Singalong with Rich!” is a fun and interactive program for patrons who love to sing. The program will be led by Rich Boban, a music therapist who specializes in working with people with Alzheimer’s and dementia. “People in music therapy programs show improvements in memory, motor skills and speaking ability,” said Boban. “A program like this is unique, for it benefits longtime library supporters as well as their caregivers.” “Singalong with Rich!” starts Mon., Jan. 30. The program takes place on the last Monday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Hammond Public Library, 564 State St., at the intersection of Sibley and Sohl streets. The program is free, thanks to the generous financial support of the Friends of the Hammond Public Library. For details, please contact Mary Schons at (219) 931-5100, Ext. 327 or email schonm@hammond.lib.in.us
