Friendly Neighbors of Holy Ghost Church Open House The Friendly Neighbors of Holy Ghost Church will meet on Friday, December 20, 2013, at 12:00 noon in Gorman Library in the school building for our annual Christmas Buffet and meeting. Be sure to attend this event and to enjoy a variety of tasty treats prepared by the Friendly Neighbors. Bring a baggy with you so that you can take left-overs home for more enjoyment. We will not hold meetings during the months of January and February; therefore we encourage you to pay annual dues of $7.00 at the December meeting. We’ll play our games of chance, have a turkey raff le, culminating in our Progressive Bingo which stands at $55.00.In addition, the Friendly Neighbors are sponsoring a Christmas Concert Gala at Holy Ghost Church on Sunday, December 15th. We have the finest organist/pianist/choir in the community, bar none. So plan to attend this holiday concert followed by an Open House in Father Feller Center in the school building where you’ll find tables laden with a variety of treats, hot apple cider, coffee and milk. Bring the little ones to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus! December 15th is also the date for our December Coffee and…, so it is combined with the Open House.

Pet of the Week Hope

Hope is a very special girl. It is evident that she was part of a family and very much loved at some point. What happened is anybody’s guess and unfortunately Hope can’t tell us. She found herself, at the age of 12, in the shelter - very alone, very afraid, very depressed and in danger of being euthanized. There was just no way she could compete in a crowded shelter with the much younger dogs. We brought Hope into our rescue and we’ve been so glad we did. She is an angel, an absolute angel. She loves people, loves other dogs, loves cats. Her foster home also has multiple dogs and cats. She is gentle and loving and there in nothing about her that isn’t loveable. She follows her foster dad around everywhere and just loves him to pieces! Hope deserves her forever home, a home where she can happily spend her remaining years giving and getting the love she so greatly deserves. Hope is fully vetted.
