Basic Nurse Assistant Training South Suburban College is hosting an Open House for the Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program on Monday, October 31th from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the Atrium at the college’s Main Campus. Successful completion of this course is required in order to become eligible to take the Illinois Nurse Aide Competency Examination (INACE), and is the first step towards admission eligibility into the SSC Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program. The Nurse Assistant Training program is six (6) credit hours. Students pay the current cost for each credit hour along with a lab fee. The lab fees are $125.00, which include the Illinois Nurse Aide Competency Examination (INACE). All certified nursing assistant applicants must complete a Livescan fingerprint background check, submit a health physical form, proof of current health insurance and CPR card. The classes meet at the Oak Forest Center, Monday through Thursday mornings. The instructional design includes in-depth review of basic nursing skills through lecture, training in the campus laboratory and supervised clinical experiences at a long-term health care facility. Each individual who successfully passes the certification exam will be placed on the Health Care Worker Registry. South Suburban College is located at 15800 S. State Street, South Holland, Illinois. With some ed it i ng to protect ou r client’s privacy, here is the letter that I sent. ### Our client sent to our office a bill from your firm for our review. The bill seeks a balance of $500 on Account Number XXX for services rendered on 07/25/2016. I checked with t he c l ient ’s Me d ic a r e supplement i nsu ra nce company on what it knew of this bill. It reported that Medicare denied and zeroed the claim on this. The client and I requested a Medicare review form a bout t h i s cla i m . It arrived and I compared it with your bill. The Medicare review for m shou ld conta i n exactly the same i n for mat ion t hat you r f ir m received f rom M e d i c a r e . Yo u r b i l l to t he cl ient for $ 50 0 is for ser v ices t hat Medicare ruled you are not entitled to payment f rom Med ic a re or t he patient. See footnote “D” of Cla im #X X X . corrected coding, realize that Medicare does not send rev ised Medica re review forms to Medicare supplement i nsu ra nce companies. So, if that is t he c a se, plea se send both the original billing information and the new Med ic a re i n for mat ion directly to the insurance c om p a n y. O t h e r w i s e , accept t he r u l i ng of Medicare and do not bill our client for the $500. ### The help t hat I gave our client was FREE OF CHARGE.
