On Thursday, September 18th, there will be a Raise A Glass Fundraiser hosted by Arden Courts and Comfort Keepers to benefit Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana. A $50 donation to ADSNI includes dinner, entertainment by vocalist, Peter Oprisko, a silent auction, raffles, and more. It will be held on Thursday, September 18th from 6-9:00 p.m. at Centennial Park, 900 N. Centennial Park Drive in Munster. Space is limited and RSVP is necessary. Sponsorships and donations for the silent auction and raffles are appreciated. Please contact Debbie at 219-838-0808. Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, a nonprofit organization has been in existence over 30 years and offers all free services to caregivers, such as free informational classes, free support groups, a 24-hour toll free help line, web site www.alzni.org, respite care for those who qualify, and more.

The Calumet Memorial Park District’s “Before the Bell” is a safe and fun early morning program to help your child get ready for the day ahead! Children will play games and enjoy many other organized activities. This program is held weekdays from 6:00 AM until kids depart for school, August 19 to December 19. The fee is $375 in full, or $80.00 monthly. Before the Bell is held at the Sandridge Community Center, 600 Oglesby Ave. in Calumet City.
