Overhead Door Company of Northwest Indiana will donate an Overhead Door brand garage door and garage door opener to Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana. The donated garage door system will be installed at the recently renovated home located at 1818 W. 58th Ave. in Merrillville on Thursday. Patti Komara, gymnastics expert and President of Patti’s All-American in Dyer, will be speaking in August at the USA Gymnastics National Convention in Indianapolis, IN which is attended by over 2600 gymnastics school owners, teachers, judges, and vendors. Patti’s topics include “Creating Spectacular Preschool and School-Age Programs” and “Time Management”. She will also speak about her internationally known programs such as her Tumblebear Gym, CheerBears, Dancing GymBears, and Gym-N-Learn, a fitness-based educational preschool. Rhonda Zaluckyj, Patti’s Tumblebear Gym Manager, Asst. General Manager and National USA Gymnastics speaker will speak on the topic of “How to Teach a Cartwheel”. Teachers and managers from Patti’s All-American will be in attendance as well. They will use this time to further their continuing education in gymnastics and management. Those attending from Patti’s include, Terra Lorenz, Emily Watson, Bernadette Lopez, Megan Anderson, and Hannah Studer. Patti’s All-American celebrates their 46th business anniversary this year.
