JETHROE’S GOALS ONCE ELECTED TO DYER TOWN COUNCIL

Dyer needs a team player. Who gets out into the community and participates in many groups. Who knows first hand what people are thinking. Who stresses communication, planning and teamwork. Jethroe’s goals are to restore confidence in Town Council leadership by getting past personality issues and being proactive. Planning for road and infrastructure repairs; involving the residents in road funding options. Planning for town owned equipment replacement. Developing and communicating a planned vision for Dyer’s future working with residents, businesses and like minded Town Council members. Improving communication within government and with residents. And treating all employees with respect and equality. Jethroe’s first weekly ad in the Dyer edition of The Shopper ran on January 30,2014. All of these ads and more information about him are available at: drsmithfordyer.com Vote Jethroe Smith; the last name on the republican ballot and your best choice for a better Dyer. Our beautiful Fern is still waiting for her forever home. She lives with multiple other pets (dogs, cats, rats) and she gets along with them all, though she tends to come on strong at the beginning. Fernie simply needs a slow introduction to other dogs. She is around 3 years old, fancies herself a lap dog, loves belly rubs and the scars on her face simply add to her beauty. Fern is one of our volunteers’ favorites, she’s simply a sweet and lovely soul. For more information about Fern, please contact us at ABRAangels@gmail.com. ABRA, INC is a not for profit foster based animal rescue for more information on ABRA you can visit the website abraangels. com.

History Reverend Dick Rogers started the affiliate in 1986 while ministering at Westminster Presbyterian Church located in Munster, Ind. He was ten years into his service there when he invited Millard Fuller, Habitat internationals founder to speak at Sunday Service. From there, he formed a committee and started Lake County, Ind. Habitat for Humanity. The first house to be built was in Hammond. Dick continued building houses and ministering at Westminster for over 30 years. Since then, Dick has retired and moved to Dallas, Texas to be closer to relatives. He returns once a year to his home town on special occasions and revitalizes the church with his teachings.
