Judge John Doody, retired criminal judge for the city of Chicago, recently visited the second and third grade students of Christ Our Savior Catholic School in South Holland and discussed the legal system and his role as a courtroom judge. Judge Doody also read the book Abraham Lincoln’s Hat to the students. Before his departure, he presented each student with a copy of the book. At one time, Judge Doody was also the mayor of the village of Homewood.
