The Beach WHAT’S NEW AT

THE BEST OF 2023 & BEYOND

One of the best parts about bringing your group to The Beach is that no matter how many times you come, there’s always something new to explore.

This year is no different with many new restaurants, attractions and entertainment options opening up this season, and several others being announced for future fun.

SIGHTSEEING

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Gets a Facelift

New in downtown Myrtle Beach this year is a $3.7 million renovation of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, which saw the area’s decade-old Southern pine boards replaced with new composite decking designed to hold up better to weather and wear.

The new boardwalk also features new sitting areas and a colorful new patterned design featuring nautical flags in certain areas. Visitors will also notice a trio of new selfie spots added along the oceanfront area, featuring a sandcastle, surfboards and sea turtles.

THINGS TO DO Stars and Strikes Now Open

Now open is a new entertainment center at Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach, which is a perfect place to unwind with colleagues. The 52,500-square-foot Stars and Strikes offers “high-tech” bowling, an arcade, a multi-story laser tag arena, axe throwing lanes and a full-service restaurant and bar perfect for any group outing!

MEETINGS & CONVENTIONS GUIDE 6

RESTAURANTS

Black Drum Brewing Now Open

Myrtle Beach’s Kingston Resort has added a new oceanfront taphouse as part of its Embassy Suites Resorts hotel property.

Black Drum Brewing brings together the best flavors of the Carolinas with fresh seafood, smoked meats and stone-fired pizzas. All 40 beers on tap showcase craft brews from the Carolinas and the entire menu is Carolina born and brewed.

Open to public, Black Drum is a spot for locals and visitors to experience the distinct flavors and comfort of the Carolinas in one place. Come enjoy the outdoor beer garden and play your favorite yard games.

The Hangout opens at Broadway

Broadway at the Beach has added a new restaurant, retail and entertainment venue to its Entertainment District, called The Hangout.

The Hangout is a new gathering place for great food and family

fun, offering seasonal seafood dishes, burgers, sandwiches and tacos, appetizers and sides made from locally sourced ingredients prepared from scratch in a world-class hi-tech kitchen designed to handle thousands of diners daily.

The Hangout also offers live music year-round, both on indoor and outdoor stages.

Swig & Swine BBQ Joint coming to town
