Shop for a small piece of Crystal Bridge history and benefit the Gardens. This will be a sale for those plants that will not be transferred to the new interior after its renovation. Hundreds of plants both large and small will be sold off including tropicals suitable for houseplants like anthuriums, calatheas, philodendrons and clivias, as well as desert and succulent plants such as aloe, agaves, kalanchoe and cacti.

The Gardens offers FREE yoga, thanks to our sponsors. Instructors are from the YMCA.

FAMILY WORKSHOP: PRESSED FLOWERS AND LEAVES

Learn how to turn beautiful blooms and bold leaves into craft creations. We’ll start by learning about and collecting materials from the garden, then head inside to preserve our findings. Each attendee will go home with their own small book of pressed flowers and ideas for making crafts year-round.

Books are nature-themed and selected based on the season. We’ll begin with an interactive song and children will enjoy creating a small craft after the story.

CULINARY HERBS IN THE GARDEN AND THE KITCHEN

Dive into the interesting and fragrant world of herbs. We’ll learn about the top most common herbs and how to grow them. Then we’ll discuss ideas for using all the different varieties in our kitchen. Each participant will head home with an herb plant of their own to start cooking.

CREATING A MONARCH WAYSTATION M $16; NM $20 Instructor: Peggy Turner, Oklahoma County Master Gardener Learn how to build your own monarch waystation from the ground up, including planning and design, sourcing host and nectar plants, garden maintenance, and certification. Participants will head home with one host plant and one nectar plant.

Full Moon Bike Ride

Meet at the Bandshell on the Devon Lawn Suggested $5 per person donation Bring your bike for a one-hour leisurely ride through the downtown area under the light of the full moon. Meet up at the bandshell stage on the Devon Lawn. Bikes can be rented at Ride OKC and through Spokies.

Join us in the Children’s Garden for 10 days of activities, crafts and creative displays inspired by a selection of books featuring tiny people and magical creatures. Enchanting vignettes will be created by local artists to bring these books to life. The 2021 theme, Tiny Gardens and Enchanted Woods, highlights a variety of books that will appeal to a wide range of ages. Selected titles include Thumbelina, Hilda and the Hidden People, The Borrowers, Backyard Fairies, Unicorns Are The Worst, A Natural History of Fairies and more.

BLOOMING THURSDAYS Learn about what plants are blooming that week in the Children’s Garden. Then go on a hunt to find that plant yourself!

WATER FEATURES The Thunder Fountain, located next to the Children’s Garden, and the Splash Pad, on the Seasonal Plaza, are open daily 10am-8pm beginning Memorial Day weekend.
