Mabry named to AAC for the Education of Children with Disabilities

Leo Mabry was named to serve as a member of the Arkansas Advisory Council for the Education of Children with Disabilities on Oct. 17.

The role of the council is to advise the Department of Education of unmet needs within the state in the education of children with disabilities; comment publicly on any rules or regulations proposed by the state regarding the education of children with disabilities; advise the department in developing evaluations and reporting on data to the Secretary of Education under 20 U.S.C. § 1418; advise the department in developing corrective action plans to address findings identified in federal monitoring reports under Title 20, Chapter 33, Subchapter
