Response from candidate Brandon Martin Question 1 - If elected, what three things will you do to put Mena on stronger financial ground? Answer 1 - The city is in a great financial state. That comes from good fiscal management which will continue when I’m elected. I’ve managed the biggest budget in the city and know how to manage budgets efficiently. Question 2 - Mena Street is the heart of the city and has seen revitalization. What would you do to further strengthen the businesses on both the north and south ends of Mena Street, and all businesses in Mena in general? Answer 2 - Local business is the lifeline of our city. Answer 1 - Mena is in a solid financial state at this time; however, there are some issues that need addressed to maintain financial stability. A) Improve infrastructure to make Mena more business friendly. B) Review budgets to evaluate use of funds. C) Ensure efficient management of all city departments and programs.
