Styling to Live Creating Beautiful Spaces Eliminate expensive decorating mistakes and be guided by our experienced Interior Designer. Our process is a collaborative journey that guides you through the stages from initial consultation to completion of the project.

Interior Styling Process Prior to meeting with our Interior Designer, we ask you to take time to consider your living spaces including the functionality and what is currently not working for you. Identify what furniture or decorative pieces must stay and what can go. We recommend collecting images to identify your decorating style or you can also visit the MyPad Interior Styling Pinterest page to view our collection of images.

Step 1 - The Consultation Our Interior Designer will meet with you to discuss how you would like to see your interior transformed. They will collect information on your space and discuss options for achieving your vision and work to suit your budget. Based on the meeting, the Interior Designer will create a custom proposal that includes a summary of your requirements and the suggested number of hours needed to create your space. This can be broken down into stages and managed over time based on your time frame and budget.

Step 2 - The Presentation We access our database of wholesalers and retailers to curate the furniture and decorative items to create your unique interior. We develop a personalised Look Book that clearly outlines selections for each room. We present our initial concept Look Book for review and allow one opportunity to provide a revision. Upon your approval, we provide you with the final Look Book.

Step 3 - Shop and Style Once all items are received, our experienced Interior Designer will visit your home to style and ensure the overall design concept is achieved.

WAYS TO UPDATE YOUR HOME FOR

5 SPRING

Spring has finally arrived, so it’s out with the cold, and in with the new! And what better way to embrace the new season than with a few simple decor updates to refresh your home.

Add Baskets to Reduce Clutter

3

‘Tis the season for spring cleaning, and adding a basket or two is a great way to reduce clutter and change up your look. We think a woven basket is the perfect accessory to store everything from throw blankets to the kids toys, while still looking chic and stylish.

4

Display your own Prints

Even if you can't plan a real spring vacation ( thanks COVID!), you can pretend you're sitting on the beach every day this spring by printing and displaying some of your favorite travel pics. Exchanging a few pieces throughout your home is a great way to make your rooms feel fresh and updated.

1

Switch Throws and Cushions

Looking for an easy upgrade you can make in just an afternoon? Swap your Winter throws and cushions for a quick refresh that doesn’t take any effort at all. Bringing in soft pastel shades and swapping out textiles is a great way to make your home feel brand new.

Sprinkle in Bright Colours

2

Why not try having your interior mimic the outdoors. While dark colours felt right in the winter, it’s time to swap them for some bold pastels or even neons. If painting a feature wall is not something you want to do, why not change out some of your old dining room chairs for ones with a pop of colour?

5

Decorate with Flowers One of the easiest ways to update any room is to add a bouquet of fresh flowers. From bunches of daffodils and tulips to eucalyptus, take advantage of all these flowers in bloom. Decorating with fresh flowers is easy and can be done in every room of your house. Between statement centerpieces to nightstand-friendly bud vasesthere's no place in your home that couldn’t use a few flowers. Not sure how to arrange your blooms? Check out our DIY page for some useful tips!

MIX SCALE If you select a larger single bloom like a rose, peony or tulip, it’s nice to offset it with a flower that clusters together a bunch of small blooms, like a lilac or hydrangea.

GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR VESSEL You don’t need to always stick with the standard glass vase; feel free to experiment with distressed wood boxes, even old mason jars scattered throughout your home.

USE COMPLEMENTING COLOURS Pick flowers that make sense together, and stay within that colour story; all cool tones, all warm tones and so on

USE A GUIDE Some containers are too wide or shallow to simply arrange and be done. Whether it’s florist foam or making a tape grid across the top of your vessel, it's crucial to employ a system to keep your stems in place.
