At St. Lucie Draft House, good food and great times are always on tap… and have been for the past 28 years! Seriously, if you haven’t had the opportunity to dine at this local staple, then you need to get there. The restaurant’s varied menu not only features familiar classics and comfort food favorites like burgers, steaks, and fried shrimp, but also offers innovative creations, such as crab poppers and a mahi Philly, and unexpected alternatives for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diners! Truly, the restaurant is a great place to bring anyone because they have something for everyone. Plus, St. Lucie Draft House boasts a full bar with Happy Hour specials every day from 2PM-7PM! It’s the perfect spot to catch the game, savor a tasty meal, and/or relax with a refreshing libation.
Another reason why you should dine at St. Lucie Draft House is because the all-female owners — Tami McHale, Kathleen Sparkman, and Ali Mangan — are especially committed to giving back to our area. The restaurant sponsors neighborhood little league teams, hosts golf and volleyball tournaments to bene t local high school teams, and donates to numerous community organizations, including GraceWay Village, the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, among others. Eat and drink at St. Lucie Draft House to support our locality!
A fun (and wonderfully tasty!) appetizer to begin with is the Giant Pretzel. Served with a side of slightly spicy white queso for dipping, the impressively large pretzel is soft, salty, and addicting. We tore into it with fervor, savoring each warm, hearty bite.
Another excellent starter is an order of St. Lucie Draft House’s 10-piece naked or breaded wings with choice of one of their award-winning sauces. Abby and I selected the naked parmesan variety, which any cheese lover would appreciate. I asked Abby what she thought of them after she took her rst bite, and her response was to close her eyes, nod, and smile. The tender, meaty wings had a delightfully crispy outer texture that perfectly complemented the rich, cheesy sauce. We recommend that you dunk them into some blue cheese for even more sharp, tangy avor!
For the main event, Abby ordered the dolphin reuben, which is served with your choice of a side. The generous portion of blackened mahi mahi was remarkably juicy! It also had a bit of a kick that was tempered nicely by the sandwich’s nutty Swiss cheese, acidic sauerkraut, subtly sweet 1000 island dressing, and earthy rye bread. “The sh is fresh and tender,” Abby said, continuing, “and the slight heat from the blackening really elevates its avor. It’s really good. And, it’s a refreshing twist on the classic version!”

I chose a customer favorite – the roast beef panini, which comes with a choice of one side. A heaping portion of tender roast beef is topped with roasted red peppers, sautéed onions, pepper jack cheese, and spicy horseradish, then served on a garlic-toasted panini. Pressed thin, the sandwich provides satisfyingly sharp, succulent, and savory avors in every bite. The peppers and onions add depth, while the cheese and horseradish balance out the saltiness.

For dessert, Abby and I recommend Maddie’s Delight Dessert, which is made fresh in-house. An Oreo-crusted ice cream cake features Nestlé Buncha Crunch, hot fudge, crushed Chips Ahoy! Cookies, and chocolate sauce. It’s a decadent celebration for your tastebuds! The varying textures and explosion of sweetness are enough to instantly cure a bad mood.
At St. Lucie Draft House, good food and great times are always on tap! Plus, the restaurant offers a great value, friendly service, and plenty of entertainment on their numerous TVs spread throughout the dining room and bar areas. You have to go! As soon as you do, you’ll understand why it has been around for 28 years… and will likely last for 28 more.
