JULY 2021

Festivals and Events hit restart button after restrictions lifted by Dave Warner

Many of the festivals and events that organizers had thought might not be a go in 2021, are now having to scramble and figure out where they stand, after virtually all restrictions were lifted and the Governor’s emergency declaration ended. Think Local Little Falls For July, that has Think Local Little Falls trying to figure out what events they can organize for the month. Elaine Cobb with Think Local stated, “First of all, we’re going to promote summer fun in Little Falls

and all of the things that there are available to do, like rock climbing, bicycling, kayaking, and fishing.” She said they are going to cap the month with their Mid Summer Night’s Picnic at Sterzinar Park on July 15th. “It will be a little bit abbreviated, but most of what they normally do will be there like Guerrilla Haiku, music, picnicking, and games, and hopefully the stargazers,” she said. During the month of August, the group is going to bring attention to antiques and try to draw people from the Bouckville Antique Show. In September, they’re thinking about bringing back the

This idea began as a way to cultivate relationships around fresh, local produce and other goods that contribute to the overall health of Little Falls. that were working against us last year, we established what will be a beneficial community event that also centers around bringing in local makers, bakers, and growers and helping people get access to fresh healthy food.”

Casey Bayes, tournament organizer said that last year, they raised about

$2,300.00. “Our goal this year is $5,000, which is a big jump.” Last year the tournament was held at the Little Falls Municipal golf course. This year she stated, it will be held at the MV Golf & Event Center in Little Falls, which
