NHS DORSET CCG • Differences exist not only in the structures of the accountable bodies but also in what they will be commissioning • Led by GPs to ensure clinical input to the commissioning process • On 1 April 2013 NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group replaced the PCTs as the statutory responsible organisation for commissioning health services for the population of Dorset

• Overall the population of Dorset enjoys relatively good health with a higher life expectancy than the England; 2012 Females All Dorset • Total population is 2012 Males All Dorset expected to grow by 2020 All Dorset 6% by 2021, however a third of this growth is in the 0-19yrs group; 10 • 18,983 children living in poverty in Dorset.
