Award Dream Big Lunt Chiropractic PLCC

Lunt Chiropractic was founded in October 2017, 4 years into Dr. Kelsey’s chiropractic career. The office started out as 2 treatments rooms, a break area and reception area totaling 900 square feet. 6 months into business Lunt Chiropractic expanded and added another 1000 square feet and 2 additional treatment rooms. The office now houses 2 chiropractors, a massage therapist, and 5 treatment rooms. Dr. Kelsey is also currently working towards expanding bicoastally as she is in the process of becoming licensed in California. Her ultimate goal is to split time between NY and CA, with NY being her primary residency. Eventually, the office hopes to add more modalities to our repertoire to include cold laser treatment, spinal decompression and other sought-after therapies to offer patients. The office is now comprised of over 1600 patients throughout the greater Rochester

Helping create healthier, better neighborhoods As a family-owned company, we’re committed to helping our customers and employees live healthier, better lives through food. That commitment includes sharing food and enriching our neighborhoods in every way we can. We believe communities thrive when we all work together.

Award Chili Beautification Chili Community Center

The Chili Community Center at 3237 Chili Avenue is an architectural gem that combines the best of form and function. The building opened on May 15, 2021 with the goal of connecting the Chili community in one unique facility. By combining the town's Recreation Department, Senior Center and Library in one facility, Chili created a one-of-a kind community center. The RBJ included this project among the 30 area locations in their August 27th feature of "Rochester's Coolest Places".

Congratulations from the Chili town board

Councilman James Valerio, Councilwoman Mary Sperr Councilman Mark DeCory, Supervisor David Dunning, Councilman Michael Slattery

The 95,000 square foot facility broke ground in January of 2019 and was completed on time and within budget. The architectural firm Passero Associates and Christa Construction's Management Team and other team members joined the town of Chili at the grand opening on May 15, 2021. The library includes a children's library that has bright colors and a play area with heated floors, a Makerspace room, a teen room with gaming area, a drive-up book drop and a quiet place to sit by the two sided fireplace. The gymnasium can be transformed from one large area into four small gyms using a divided curtain system. The recreation space includes six pickle ball courts, two volleyball courts, four youth basketball courts, table tennis and and low impact exercise rooms. The second floor has an elevated walking/running track overlooking the gymnasium. The senior lounge contains soft seating, a pool table, a fireplace and television in a bright open space for socialization. The building also has a restaurant-quality kitchen and a large banquet room.

Today

This plaza located at 2320 Lyell Avenue was built in 1965. When Louis Nitti purchased it in 2009, he had a vision to revamp the plaza to attract additional businesses to Gates and help foster economic growth. He added a second story with an elevator to the current building and changed the entire facia to modernize it. With the new road construction on Lyell Avenue performed by the state and the addition of sidewalks, this beautification makes that area much more attractive. The plaza currently includes QT Nails Spa and Chanda-Kabita’s Beauty & Brows Threading. 8

Award Joseph Entress Economic Development C&M Forwarding

If you travel north and south on Union Street in Chili, a newly constructed roadway and business may have caught your eye - it used to be a grassy field with a white house. Kevin Daley, a Chili resident, is the president and CEO of C&M Forwarding, a freight transportation and commercial warehouse company. They have built a 300,000 square-foot trucking facility and yard with 65 docking doors at 3457 Union Street, North Chili, NY 14514. Currently they are under construction in Phase two of the facility expansion. C&M Forwarding was previously located in a 55,500 square-foot space on Jetview Drive, but had outgrown it. The growing company needed more desk space and parking for their employees. They also needed more truck bays as the previous 25 were not enough. The company is a leader in the transportation industry, offering a diverse portfolio of services to a wide variety of clients, large and small including LTL or Truckload service, warehousing and distribution, and logistics and freight management. They have been providing on-time, reliable service since 1932 and are also widely regarded as a leader in the national transportation community offering inland transportation to and from every major gateway and port in the continental United States.

Award Culture and Arts East Coast Training Center In the fall of 2019, Jenna Caputo who was coaching her daughters recreational cheer team, saw the need and demand of a “non-traditional” space for athletes to go and enhance their skills. Her vision was a place for athletes from any team, town, or skill level to come and be themselves without added pressure of normal competition season. With the tremendous help of her daughters former coach; and now director of her company, Danielle Inclema, she was able to piece together all the parts needed to become East Coast Training Center. Danielle worked tirelessly alongside Jenna to ensure they were both upholding the dreams and goals they set out to achieve to strengthen the youth community. They started off with a small location in November 2019, and within four months, they needed to expand. When the pandemic hit in March 2020, Jenna and Danielle searched for a larger and more feasible location to accommodate all the children and families they’ve became so close with. In August 2020, they began their journey at their new location on the side of Total Sports Experience in Gates. The location was perfect with over 5,000 square feet, a parent viewing room, and 35-foot ceilings. The space has since been a safe place for all local athletes, beginners, and many other community members to have their team’s practice.
