HAAM helped him and his family, totally unfamiliar with how things work in the US, a bit scared of things, and financially very needy, to navigate the complex bureaucracy of health care programs for low-income immigrants, alleviating tremendous stress from their lives. I feel better as a person because now I can take care of myself. In my family there is a history of high blood pressure and diabetes. “Can I just say “EXCEPTIONAL” organization. In 2008, after being hit by an uninsured motorist who ran a stop sign, I was able to receive the tests needed to assess neck and upper spine injuries. HAAM provided specialists and physical therapy that would have been otherwise monumental in costs. I am so incredibly thankful to HAAM, the doctors and physical therapists that helped me on the path back to playing my violin. Not only does HAAM give musicians of all varieties peace of mind knowing they have access to affordable care, but with your support of HAAM, the Austin community shows that this great city values its musicians’ artistry and passion.
