CCDStudio Arts Camps

Multi-age Groups: Grades 1 – 4 and Grades 5 – 8

The arts camps are designed for campers interested in visual and performing arts. Campers will learn new techniques, develop their skills, and explore creativity in a supportive and encouraging environment. Through this experience, young artists will leave camp with pride in their achievements and stronger skills involving:

• concentration

• attention to detail

• hand-eye coordination

• problem-solving

• social skills

• decision making

• time management

The camps will be a survey of the arts introducing a new theme and topic each week, allowing campers to attend one or more weeks.

*Camp will be in session on June 19. Campers will engage in activities to commemorate the Juneteenth federal holiday.

Show Choir offers a fun musical experience for aspiring young singers and performers to develop their poise in performing. Campers will work together to hone their talents and will dazzle the audience at an end-of-week performance. Performers will walk away with new friends, greater confidence, and a song in their hearts!

Campers will participate in outdoor activities, karaoke, yoga, theater games, and swimming.

Grades 5 – 8

Exploring 3-D art is a fun and creative experience for young artists! Campers will explore a variety of mediums, discover their unique artistic style, and develop their skills as they explore set and costume design. This camp is perfect for young artists of all skill levels and will surely be a summer to remember!

In addition to daily art activities, campers will participate in outdoor activities, games, yoga, and swimming.

June 19 – June 23

Exploring fiber arts is a fun and creative experience for young artists! Campers will explore a variety of mediums, discover their unique artistic style, and develop their skills. This camp is perfect for young artists of all skill levels and will surely be a memorable stitch in time!

In addition to daily art activities, campers will participate in outdoor activities, games, yoga, and swimming.

June 26 – June 30 Stomp! on stage while creating rhythms and playing drums! Campers will craft and create drums, play rhythms, and develop their own mini version of Stomp! The week will end with a Stomp performance for fellow campers, friends, and families.

Campers will participate in outdoor activities, karaoke, yoga, theater games, and swimming.

The Lion King, Jr. musical offers young performers from the Cincinnati area a chance to participate in a unique musical theatre experience in a fast-paced, high-level production of The Lion King Jr. Campers will take part in a full production of the show, complete with choreography, music, and staging. The week will end with a performance for fellow campers, friends, and families.

Participants should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about the art of musical theater and ready to experience a theater in a high-school-like setting.

Upcycled Storytelling will use materials such as old books, magazines, and cardboard to tell visual stories, using found images and objects to fuel imaginations. Campers will learn the fundamentals of drawing human and animal figures to design characters that come to life, then create movable figures, altered books, dioramas, and puppet theaters using collage, drawing, painting, and paper sculpture techniques.

July 3 – July 7

Exploring painting is a fun and creative experience for young artists! Campers will explore a variety of mediums while discovering their unique artistic style and developing their skills. This camp is perfect for young artists of all skill levels and will surely be a summer to remember!

Rhythm is Alive! Campers will play different types of hand drums and percussion instruments, exploring sounds and listening to different styles of traditional and non-traditional folk songs from around the world.

Campers will participate in outdoor activities, karaoke, yoga, theater games, and swimming.

Children’s Theater I campers will take to the stage in this dramatic experience where campers can learn about acting, character, and stage directions while performing in our amazing Keeler Theater!

Campers will participate in outdoor activities, karaoke, yoga, theater games, and swimming.

Calling all future Olivers and Matildas to Musical Theater Camp! Join us for a week of acting, singing, and dancing during Center Stage Musical Theatre Camp! This camp teaches children the basics of auditioning, rehearsing, and performing. The week ends with a cabaret-style performance to showcase the campers’ newfound talents.

Campers will participate in outdoor activities, karaoke, yoga, theater games, and swimming.

Printmaking is a fun and creative experience for young artists! Campers will explore a variety of mediums while discovering their unique artistic style and developing their skills. This camp is perfect for young artists of all skill levels and will surely be a summer to remember as they leave their print at CCDSummer.
