Celebrate these long summer days at the St. Charles County Fair July 22-26 A surprise around every corner awaits attendees of St. Charles County Fair. This year’s fair will be held July 22 through July 26 at Rotary Park, 2577 W. Meyer Rd. There is truly something for everyone of every age. Highlights of this year’s Fair include the Midwest Cowboys Rodeo, the Queen Coronation, a performance by Marcos the Juggler, as well as garden and antique tractor pulls on Tuesday, July 23. Day three of the festivities on Wednesday, July 24 include a second showing of the Midwest Cowboys Rodeo, Mobile Chassis DYNO Testing, Illinois Tractor Pulling Association Big Tractor Pull and a special magic show by McVicar the Trickster on the Stars & Stripes Stage. Day four of the always entertaining St. Charles County Fair will feature a performance by BMX Stunt Riders, a puppet show by Kincaid Karacter Puppets on the Stars & Stripes Stage. Off the stage a tug-a-war competition will take place as well as the pig scramble, and an Xcaliber tractor and truck Pull. Saturday, July 27, the final day of this five day celebration of summer, will feature a baby contest, frog and turtle races, kids pedal pull, another performance by the BMX stunt riders, the super farmer contest, and a demolition derby. An exciting show by Babaloo— the one man musical comedy act, will take place on the Stars & Stripes

Stage during this fun filled Saturday. Everyday of the Fair will feature free carnival rides, a petting zoo, an inflatable jousting challenge, kids bounce house, livestock exhibits, 4H exhibits, and butterfly fun house. A Remembering Our Fallen exhibit will also be on display July 22 through 26. The entertainment lineup at this year’s Fair features something for everyone and includes a mixture of rock, pop, and country. This year’s line-up includes Cowboy Chris and Hicktown on Tuesday, A.D.D. on Wednesday, Buskin Bootleggers and Hillbilly Authority on Thursday, TwoWay Split, Doppler FX, and Contagious on Friday, and a karoake talent show on Tuesday. Fair goers of the St. Charles County Fair will encounter many opportunities for some healthy competition to satisfy the need for glory, and, in some instances, cash prizes. The Little Mr. and Miss St. Charles County for 2-7 year olds will take place on Thursday, July 24. The all-time favorite pig scramble will be Friday’s featured competition event, while the baby contest, frog and turtles races, nickel scramble, sack race, and kids pedal pull will all take place on Saturday. fore. The Fair will also feature the super farmer contest on Saturday. During this competition male and female partners will team up and compete through many obstacles to see who will reign as 2014’s super farmers.
