Granite School District offers summer sack meals
By Julie Slama | j.slama@mycityjournals.com
Murray students will have several locations to pick up a free summer sack lunch and breakfast. (Julie Slama/ City Journals)
Granite School District will serve free breakfast and lunch this summer.
Free student meals will be provided weekdays, 11 a.m. to noon, with the exception of July 3 and July 24. Their sack meals will be available through Aug. 7.
Serving sites are typically found at local parks, but due to the current situation and public health orders from Salt Lake County, the program will operate out of school sites and one church location only.
In the event a site needs to close, patrons will be given a one week notice and directed to the nearest site.
All children 18 and under will receive free meals. Meals cannot be picked up for others not there. Parents are not required to accompany children and daycares within the area are welcome to participate.

“Miriam was great every step of the way. She is responsive, goes above and beyond, and is very professional. This was especially important to us as our purchase was done with us only physically visiting the place one time. We relied on her willingness to do virtual tours, send pictures, and offer up referrals where needed. We look forward to working with her again in the future.”
