AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY APPROACH TO THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOLETA GOLF CLUB

Situated between Singletary Road and the Myakka River, the 537-acre property was owned and farmed by the Bellino family for over 60 years

In 2022 the Bellino family moved ahead with plans to sell and develop the property, with the obligation that it be responsibly developed and protected so that those who use it may forever enjoy the natural beauty and vegetation

To help steward this cause, a member of the Bellino family has remained on as a partner in the project

In conjunction with a carefully selected team of experts assembled by the developer, the Nick Price design team conducted an early planning study and identified sensitive areas that would require careful land management

Experts included wildlife consultants, biologists, civil engineers, water resource engineers, geotechnical engineers, and environmental scientists and engineers.

The team formulated a plan that would exceed the requirements of relevant government agencies, SWFWMD, and Manatee County

These areas include wildlife conservation and habitat enhancement; wetland identification and preservation; water conservation; water quality management; sediment and erosion control plan; and an integrated pest management program

The developers of the project have made the protection of the existing wetlands a fundamental goal for the benefit of residents and our environment No wetland impacts are sought within the project

Water conservation is a critical issue, and the minimal use of this important resource is a key concept within the project's development.

Throughout every stage of the project, the commitment and assurances described will be monitored by environmental consultants who will ensure that every facet of the plan is executed in full compliance

As evident by the actions described above, preserving the property’s natural beauty and vegetation is and will continue to be of utmost importance to all partners involved in the project and our community as a whole
