PRESS RELEASE (Vaughan, ON – October 3, 2012)

Kiniry grabs second overall podium in Montreal Supercross The 35th annual Montreal Supercross, which was run under the lights at Olympic Stadium in Montreal this past Saturday, proved to be mainly an American affair with Matt Goerke, Bobby Kiniry, and Teddy Maier taking the top three spots in the action. The enthusiastic crowd that attended Canada’s oldest supercross were treated to a new formula, which saw an MX1 Main and a Super Finale Main determine the overall winner in the premier class. For Team Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha’ Bobby Kiniry, the final big race of the Canadian motocross season ended well with an impressive second overall. In the MX1 main, Kiniry got off to a lightening start, finding himself in the top-five after one lap. While Maier took an early lead, a bobble resigned him to fifth place, with Goerke taking over the lead, Tyler Bowers moving into second, and Kiniry into third. Not long after, Bowers slid out in a corner while challenging Goerke for the lead, a mistake that allowed Kiniry to take over second place. While Goerke distanced himself up front from the chase group, Bowers rechallenged Kiniry for second place. The arenacross champ not only managed to get by Kiniry, Maier, who was also on the gas, stuck a pass on Kiniry as well.
