Summer Swim Lessons MWR Aquatics will offer swim lessons throughout the summer season. Every swim session will consist of six 30-minute lessons, led by a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.

Spots are extremely limited, with only four swimmers allowed per level. Registration will open two weeks prior to the first session date.

Sigonella 500m Swim Location: NAS I Pool Break out of your comfort zone this summer and jump into the pool!

Participants will have all month long to swim as many meters as possible. For this competition, all swim entries must be submitted in 500-meter increments.

Participants can track their meters swam with a smartwatch. Please email a screenshot of your workout to fitness_sigonella@eu.navy.mil for picture proof and to be entered into our prize drawing. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place.

June 28 - July 2 | Teen Book Club to Go Attention all Young Adult readers! Join us this summer in reading “I’ll Always Write Back: How One Letter Changed Two Lives”, the true story of how two young pen pals from across the world forged a life-altering connection. Stop by the MWR Library to pick up your Book Club To-Go pack, which will include a copy of the book (yours to keep), retro letter writing supplies, and a book discussion sheet. Read the story at your leisure, then fill out the discussion sheet and return it to the Library to receive an additional prize!

Recreation Swim Location: NAS I Pool Join in on the summer fun and beat the heat with MWR Aquatics! Recreation swim will begin June 4 and continue through August 15. No reservations necessary. Recreation swim will be available on a first-come-first-served basis, however there is limited capacity, especially on Saturday and Sundays.
