Snowshoe around Mt. Sartorius

Snowshoes will be provided by Outdoor Recreation. Please inquire if you need waterproof pants or jackets.
Enjoy snowshoeing in the forest of Mt. Sartorius on this approx. 3-hour snowshoe of medium intensity. This is one of oldest conifer forests of Mt. Etna, with trees between 200-300 years old. This is a family friendly trip; however, children must be able to snowshoe for approximately two hours at a time. Bring plenty of water and snacks along with you on this trip. Make sure to dress in layers; you’ll warm up while you’re snowshoeing but cool down once we stop for breaks, and wear at least one waterproof layer on the outside. Waterproof boots are recommended for this trip.

Calling all aspiring photographers. We are hosting a photography competition just for Single Sailors E6- and below or Geo -Bachelors! Submit your 8” x 10” photograph of your adventures through Europe. Photos will be on display and voted on by your peers at Take 5 from April 1st -10th. We must have a minimum of six participants. do you want to get involved in the local Community? Saturday Liberty is heading out to a local food kitchen in Acireale. Transportation to and from the site will be provided and volunteers will receive a letter of recognition from MWR for their efforts.
