Make the last stop memorable by taking a dip in the island’s black Sulphur beach. Please note the following: the water/mud has a very strong sulfurous odor. Our first stop is at the Norman Castle in the town of Milazzo, followed by a stroll through the natural reserve of Capo Milazzo. Afterward, patrons will continue all the way down to Venus Lake and the cliffside fisherman’s village. Following the walking tour, we will make a pit stop at a local Sicilian hamburger place for lunch.

Descend 1,060 feet to the base of a marvelous canyon carved by the Cassibile River! Here you will find emerald green pools of water surrounded by lush oriental palm trees. Please note, this hike is demanding and participants are required to hike back up the canyon after enjoying the beauty at the bottom. Please remember to bring a swimsuit, plenty of water, snacks and a packed lunch. If needed, hiking backpacks can be rented from Community Recreation.
