Super Bowl Bash Wine and Culinary Experience
Sunday, February 5th MWR is hosting a huge Super Bowl Bash with events throughout Midtown. The awesome lineup includes the return of the popular NFL Experience, a combination punt, pass, kick and agility competition for kids and adults at the gym. The Pre-game Tailgate Party will be inside SpareTime Bowling Center and the game will be shown at Midtown 2 Theaters! Prizes will be awarded for the NFL Experience, as well as door prizes at the Tailgate Party and in the theater. There will be adult beverages available inside the theater during the game and Piazza Pizza will even have food specials throughout the evening, including a Half-Time Breakfast Special.
Midtown Classroom Thursday, February 9th, 6:30pm MWR’s Wine and Culinary Experience gives you access to some of Sicily’s top chefs. You will learn from the best, how to prepare Sicilian cuisine like the pros, what ingredients are used, where they come from and why they are chosen. Let the chef’s expertise train your palette to pair flavors and choose wines to compliment each dish. A Sicilian winery will be present at each experience to provide a selection of delicious pairings. The next Wine and Culinary Experience will feature Chef Rita Russotto and Firriato Winery. Snowshoe Hike on Mt. Etna Nord Saturday, February 4th Hike along a well-maintained trail through a vast conifer forest where the 2002 eruption created a lava cave on the northern slopes of Mt Etna. Hiking time is 5 hours. Bring water, food, headlamp or flashlight and euro for snacks. This hike is considered very difficult. Depart: ITT at 7:30am Return: 5:30pm $35 (Bring lunch and euro for rest stops.)
Family Snowshoe Hike around Mt. Sartorius Saturday, February 25th Enjoy hiking in the forest of Mt. Sartorius. After a brief course on using the snowshoes, we will guide you on an easy hike around the dormant craters and the forest. The length of this hike will depend on the weather and snow conditions.
