Millwrights Union Local 2736 is not a company, but a Union organization that suppliesskilledMillwrightstooursignatorycontractorswhoneedourservices
We move job to job, site to site, performing emergency repairs, shutdowns, and longer-termprojects,suchasSiteCorLNGKitimat
Once a job is completed, members are laid off and must sign back on the unemployedboardtoindicatetheyareavailablefordispatchtothenextjob
Whilefull-timeopportunitiesdoexist,theyarerareandonlyofferedtoactivemembers Most of our members enjoy the variety, travel, and team atmosphere that comes with unionMillwrightwork.
WAGES & PAY STRUCTURE
Journeypersonrate:$54.68/hour
Anadditional12%ispaidinlieuofvacationandstatutoryholidays
Apprentices are paid a percentage of the Journeyperson rate, starting at 60% basedontheirlevelofschoolingandhourscompleted

Travel and accommodations are provided free of charge, and training includes everythingfromtradeskillstoleadershipandmentoring development.
JOB READY DISPATCH (JRD)
To be eligible for dispatch, you must obtain and maintain current Job Ready Dispatch (JRD) certifications. JRD ensures you meet the minimum safety training requirements expectedbyoursignatorycontractorsandjobsites.

Permit members are required to work a minimum of 360 hours and receive two positiveprogressreportspriortobeingconsideredformembership
Duringthisperiod,yourskills,attitude,workethic,andteamworkwillbeevaluated
Feedback will be gathered from a Journeyperson, Job Steward, and Foreperson, helpingusassessyourfitwithinMillwrights2736
WHAT WE EXPECT
As a Millwright, you’ll be exposed to a wide variety of machinery and equipment inheavyindustrialsettings
Experience isn’t everything - your attitude and willingness to learn are also very important
Maintain reliable transportation and be prepared to travel throughout the provinceforemploymentopportunitiesasrequired
