Meet The Staff

Matt Talley, founding principal of MountainView Prep, brings 20 years of educational experience, including 10 years as principal at Gable Middle School. A former teacher, coach, and assistant principal, he began his career in Charlotte, NC. Talley holds degrees fromWinthrop University, UNC-Charlotte, Queens University, and the University of South Carolina.With a background in sports broadcasting and media, he’s been the voice of Dorman Football and hosted multiple radio programs. Passionate about education and athletics, Talley aims to provide MVP students with both strong academics and real-world skills.

Todd Helms, partner in T2 Charters, has founded six schools and a statewide public charter district over the past 13 years. He co-founded multiple charter high schools, led the Limestone Charter Association, and served in leadership roles at Gray Collegiate and Pinnacle Charter Academies. A former football coach for 25 years, he also served 27 years in the SC Army National Guard and US Army Reserves, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, and was a Lexington School District Two board member.

Traci Bryant-Riches, partner in T2 Charters, has founded and supported numerous charter schools, including through her company AVIA Charters. She previously opened Oceanside Collegiate Academy, wrote the application for Legion Collegiate Academy, and held leadership roles with the SC Public Charter School District and SC Department of Education. She helped launch Limestone Charter Association and aims to open schools in the Carolinas using a sports and entertainment model. She holds degrees from the University of Tennessee, Auburn University, and LSU.
