ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY

The truck that rammed into the rear of the limousine that Tracy Morgan was traveling in during the early hours of Saturday, June 7th was doing 20 miles per hour over the limit.
The accident left 45 year old Morgan critically injured and his fellow comedian James McNair dead. Other passengers in the vehicle were also injured. The good news is that after 5 weeks in the hospital, Morgan has been released to complete his recovery at home. Making his very first appearance after the ugly accident in New Jersey, Tracy Morgan appears to be in good shape. Giving the peace sign to the
paparazzi while leaving his mansion in New Jersey on Monday, July 14, he said that he was overwhelmed by the immense support that he received during his critical period. “I’m alright,’’ Morgan told the paparazzi casually before adding, “I want to take this moment to say that I appreciate each and every one of you for everything. Much love.’’
The former 30 Rock star experienced several serious injuries from the tragic
accident, including a broken femur, a broken nose, a broken leg and a number of broken ribs.
Wal-Mart on the spot for negligence
Comedian Tracy Morgan has sued Wal-Mart for negligence a month after being involved in the critical accident. The lawsuit claims that 35 year old Kevin Roper, the Wal-Mart driver allegedly responsible for the wreck, was driving at 20 miles per hour over the allowed limit on that day. It
When he left the rehabilitation center five weeks after the fatal accident, his representative confirmed, “Tracy is now out of the rehab center and he is making tremendous steps towards his recovery. He is now prescribed to an aggressive outpatient schedule.” His representative further stated, “Morgan is very overwhelmed by your concern and he wishes to pass his heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have walked with him to this point. In addition, he would appreciate some alone time with his family and loved ones as he progresses towards his recovery.”

According to a statement released by Wal-Mart’s spokesperson, they are willing to take full responsibility and pay any expenses for the crash victims if the truck driver is found guilty of the charges. “We are sincerely sorry for the ill-fated crash that involved one of our trucks,’’ Wal-Mart’s spokesperson said. “As we have mentioned, we are in total cooperation of the ongoing investigations.” Clearly, from the information released to the public, it seems as if Wal-Mart was in violation of several federal rules in connection with the Tracy Morgan accident. However, more is yet to come. As of now, we can only wish Morgan all the best in his recovery.

MAKING WAVES WITH THIER NEW ALBUM, BORN IN NOVEMBER 1310

consist of Clifton and Woody. This dynamic duo has taken their signature sound on tour playing a litany of venues throughout the state. We caught up with Born in November to get the scoop on how they became a band and their new album “1310”.
Clifton:
Woody was with a boy band called “Silhouette”. I was a solo artist. I received a call from my management that I should check out this band, and if I liked what I heard, I could join. Well that band was Silhouette. I visited the band at practice and was very impressed with what I heard. Once we started harmonizing together I became very interested.
We ended up recording an album together called Four Shades Back to Basics. It had a great run. We traveled to LA together for to perform on a few TV shows. Things were looking up, the music was great however at the time boy bands were not the brand of music that people wanted to hear. At the time hip hop was making waves, I believe it was in a transition period in music.
So after a few months we recorded another album. Woody did the mastering and mix down. We were in the studio going over the album and allof-a-sudden his computer shot out the blue screen of death. We tried our best to save the project but it was ultimately deleted. I think it was a blessing in disguise. Instead of going the route of the boy band, in light of
our latest album no longer existing. I suggested we pick up instruments. Tough thing was, no one knew how to play an instrument. We bought instruments any way and attempted to learn them and practice. Ultimately the sounds were making were not even close to anything you could call music. So we scraped that idea and went back to the drawing board.
I invited Woody to a few open mic nights with me. He was on the drums and I played the keys. We received great responses from what we were playing so we began gigging all over at open mic nights. At one of our gigs we were approached to play a Buffalo Wild Wings tour. That was ten years ago and we haven’t looked back ever since.
What’s your take on your current success?
Woody:
Some people say that we have already made it. But I feel differently. I feel that we have so much more to do. People often ask, “how did you do it”. It’s tough and not everybody can do it. I believe people have the intention to do it but not the will or follow through. I think it gets tough at times. For that matter, working in the music industry is tough. It’s a journey, Enjoyable at times, Fun at times but it takes dedication and an unfailing desire to constant do more and more work.
You’ve recently released an album.
Clifton:
Yes, our album is available on iTunes and amazon. I think the album is an example of our musical freedom. Each song expresses an emotion that we feel day to day. The genres we covered are everywhere from jazz to rock. We wanted to make a diverse album. And I feel that “1310” is just that, our most diverse album to date.
MALAYSIA AIRLINES FLIGHT MH17

Whatis the latest information about the doomed flight MH17 that was allegedly shot down by pro-Russian rebels over Ukraine? The first group out of the 298 fatalities has been identified through DNA analysis. The Boeing 777 was shot down on July 17 while flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. Both Ukrainian and US officials claim that an SA-11 missile was fired at the plane from the troubled Donetsk region in Ukraine.
As the remains of the identified Dutch victims were flown home on 25 July, the Safety Board in the Netherlands announced that it would publish the “initial factual results” once the
investigations of Flight MH17 begin next week.
Statements from the Dutch and Australian governments
A statement made by Sara Vernooij, a Dutch Safety Board spokesperson, announced that the initial results will determine the proceedings of the investigation in terms of what can be ruled out as well as what should be focused on during the investigation.
Investigators from the Dutch Safety Board plan to visit the crash site in Ukraine soon, prior to starting their investigations. “Our aim is to get the verification of any information
collected from various reliable sources as well as look for any reliable or outstanding information and possibly gather necessary material to equip us during investigation. This includes any debris collected after the wreckage,” said the board in a released statement.
A number of Australian and Dutch investigators combed through the wreckage site near Donetsk at the unsecure location where the shooting of the Boeing 777 happened. Meanwhile, police detachments are being prepared to secure the crash site as well as fly the victims back home. The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, said that the Dutch government plans to send a group of unarmed military police to the eastern part of Ukraine in
a bid to assist investigators. Meanwhile, The Prime Minister for Australia, Tony Abbott, has issued a statement that the Australian government will send a group of police officers, including 90 federal police officers, on a stand-by mission in Europe.
What really happened?
Who knows? But the United States has already reported that a SAM (surface to air missile) brought the passenger jet down as it flew over the troubled Donetsk region, where Ukraine and proRussian proponents for self-rule have been fighting. However, investigations will shed more light on that once completed. Having come from an area that is dominated by rebel fighting, it is not believed that they could have fired
the missile on their own. That is why the United States thinks that the missile could have been fired by Russiabacked rebels.
Who was in the jet?
It has been confirmed that there were 80 children on the flight, and that the passengers were from 11 nationalities. A Dutch senator, an actress from Malaysia, AIDS researchers from the Netherlands, and a teacher and nun from Australia were among the victims. Even before the loss of the 239 victims that were aboard Flight MH370 that vanished on 8 March 2014 has been abated, the world has once again been shocked by the brutal tragedy of another Malaysian flight, MH17.

It is fact that Black has been our best friend for so many years. Good old trusty, the go-to color in every woman’s wardrobe for all occasions. Blah Blah Blah. Welp, this Summer, our old friend has met its match. White is taking over and become a very professional, practical, and sexy option.
Keep it simple Stupid.
I say that in the most loving way. Let’s save a bit of time when picking out next Friday’s outfit, shall we? No more spending hours deciding what colors to match and what prints go together. The decision is now super simple, just put on the White! It is an excellent neutral and can be conveniently paired
with almost every pair of shoes, handbag, or accessory in our closets. I hate to state the obvious, but make sure your Whites are indeed white, or it will defeat the purpose!
Blank Canvas.
What is really fun about this trend is that it is open to interpretation. This is your blank canvas! Soft, crisp, oversized, or cropped, this summer’s white pieces run the gamut, so try to mix textures, weights, and layers. Slip on an all-white suit, or go with the crop top and pencil skirt combo. Keep it classy and most importantly don’t forget the necessary skin toned undergarments. It is imperative to avoid the trashiness of a distracting cheetah print bra and lacy neon underwear showing through your pure ensemble!
Risky? Hell no.
I was shopping with a friend a few weeks ago who refused to buy White because she felt it was risky. She was concerned the piece would easily get stained and ruined. Well, here is my response to that...Life is too short! Just take the risk for the season, put on the standout shade, and it will totally be worth it when all eyes are on you!
