Mustaffa Sulaiman Said

Mustaffa Sulaiman Said (21) is currently studying at the University of Indonesia and participating in an exchange program at the University of Bologna, Faculty of Architecture. Mustaffa thrives in a supportive academic environment under the guidance of excellent instructors and lecturers. As a student, he actively participates in external design and built projects as well as national-level architectural competitions to expand his knowledge beyond the classroom. He firmly believes that applying lessons learned on campus to real-world projects is essential.

His passion for architecture continues to soar as he frequently analyzes spaces for their potential use by anyone. Driven by his enthusiasm, Mustaffa has taken the initiative to create his own original project, utilizing the knowledge and skills he has gained during his university studies. Collaborating with his elder sibling, he successfully developed a meaningful space that reflects his dedication to blending theory and practice.

Apart from his architecture endeavors, Mustaffa is also deeply involved in organizational activities. These experiences have provided invaluable opportunities to develop leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, effective time management, and more. He consistently applies these skills to build the essential soft skills required to become an impactful and visionary architect in the future.

I revived a dormant sports and arts competition at UI’s Faculty of Engineering International Program, increasing participation by 31%, engaging 1,462 students, raising 10 million rupiah, and leading 135 individuals. I set a strong example of leadership, leaving a lasting impact.
