Hug-A-Baby Lactation Room

An existing space at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital (VJH) was transformed into a Huggies sponsored Lactation Room. This room will be used by new moms as a quiet respite from the ward for breastfeeding their baby or expressing breastmilk. The room features an LED TV screen along with a sink and cupboard, as well as a space for presentations & baby care demonstrations. The Hug-A-Baby room was handed over to the VJH on December 23, 2020. The ribbon was cut by the State Minister from the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Juliet Cuthbert and T. Geddes Grant Managing Director Mr. Michael Subratie. The hospital staff and patients are elated to have this room and hope it is something that can be replicated at other hospitals across the island.
