Job Description Business Development Strategist
About MPV Muslims for Progressive Values (MPV) is a faith-based, grassroots, international human rights organization that embodies and advocates for the traditional Qur’anic values of social justice and equality for all, for the 21st Century. Business Development Strategist Muslims for Progressive Values is seeking an entrepreneurial, passionate professional with fundraising experience to build relationships between foundations, philanthropists, people of influence, and Muslim communities who want to ensure a future wherein Islam is understood as a source of dignity, justice, compassion and love for all humanity and the world. Reporting to the President of MPV, you will establish a diverse and sustainable stream of revenue through fundraising and development activities, interfaith community-building efforts, and the creation of opportunities to generate income. Description of Duties As Business Development Strategist, your primary responsibilities include: Creating a portfolio of philanthropists, foundations, and sponsors to secure a minimum of $75,000 in donations; Creating a national presence for Muslims for Progressive Values by participating in, leading, and creating workshops on partnership with people of influence and goodwill; and Establishing relationships with like-minded individuals and organizations to create a network of social justice advocates. Developing and executing a 12-month fundraising and communications plan and build relationships with donors. Ensuring fully compliant record-keeping, receipting, and acknowledgment of all incoming funds.
