THE VERTICAL GARDEN
Vertical Garden is a SoHo building which focuses on verticality, density, and hybridicity. A building which promotes functionality as well as sustainability. The intension is to create biophlic and communal spaces that are not only inhabited by humans but other species as well such as birds, etc. It is designed in such a way that light filters in each apartment and no wall is interconnected which gives enough ventilation and light which targets the major problems faced in other tall and dense buildings in the city and gives a different living experience for residents and workers.
Learning Outcomes: The design outline enhanced my understanding about building designing in urban context. I learnt about the concepts of functionality, hybridicity and density as space is the biggest issue in the cities and such buildings have very small footprint. It also increased my knowledge about biophlic designs and how its impacts positively on mental health of the workers and residents of the building.

This Unit is about The Zig Zag house located in Netherlands, and designed by kevin Architects. The project was to the design a extension with its majestic wooden of the house surrounding the outdoor terrace and the beautiful Magnolia overlooking the sea. So, the extension was made entirely of wood with a green roof and the terrace made of 100% recycled plastic. Our task was to replace the current method of construction with Precast Concrete. And in this assignment we documneted the site plan, Plans, section, elevations and deatail drawings. Learning Outcomes: The design outline enhanced my knowledge about construction drawings and its specifications. Also, learnt more about setting up the pages, creating viewports. I gained understanding about the different properties of precast concrete and how it is used in construction.

The Bridge City
(A Radical Urban Intervention)
The idea of the bridge city is to built inhabited bridges thats links two parts of the city (that are harbour esplande which quite secluded and other side of the melboune city). It is connecting both horizontally and vertically with ramp, lifts and staircase. The bridge has various programs like: library, shopping centre, living spaces, exhibhition area etc. The main focus was to attract people to bridge with indeed will attract more people to harbour esplande. Also, the bridge city just not only connect two parts of the city, It also allows people to enjoy theirjourney by engaing in various programs.
Learning Outcomes: Designing bridge city has deepend my understanding of urban context. Also, I learnt about the varoius problems and issues faced in city and how single thing can be used to approach different problems in architecture. This project improved my critical thinking and helped in working on scaled hand drawings. how single thing can be used to approach different problems in architecture.
