A native of West Palm Beach, Jeff Adkins is a double bassist who thrives on connecting with audiences across musical genres. Jeff enjoys a diverse career in South Florida’s vibrant music scene, currently performing as a member of Florida Grand Opera, Palm Beach Opera, and Nu Deco Ensemble where he also performs on electric bass. Also a committed instructor, Jeff coaches young bassists at The Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts and The Bak Middle school of the Arts. Additionally, Jeff is an Artist in Residence at The Conservatory School in North Palm Beach. As a private teacher, Jeff encourages students to seek their own path by attaining the skills necessary for personal growth and expression. Many of his students have continued their studies at top music programs throughout the country. Jeff began his studies on double bass at age eight at Palm Beach Public School. He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Lynn Conservatory of Music where his primary teachers were Shigeru Ishikawa and Timothy Cobb.
Federico Bonacossa is a composer and guitarist based in Miami. His creative interests range from electronic and computer-assisted composition to purely acoustic and improvisational works. Much of his diverse output explores alternative tunings and involves electronics in some form. He currently serves as Associate Teaching Professor of Music Theory and Musicology at Florida International University. He is co-founder of The Last Hundred Ensemble, a group dedicated to music written in the last one hundred years. The group recently released its first album, featuring his work "Omaggio a Marinetti," an eclectic composition for soprano, harp, electric guitar, and percussion (including balloons), based on Marinetti's futurist poems.
Brent Charran is a cellist from Miami, FL. He performs regularly with many of Florida’s professional orchestras including the Florida Grand Opera and Palm Beach Symphony, and has also performed with Nu Deco Ensemble. Charran was introduced to the cello at South Miami Elementary School’s music magnet program. A strong supporter of arts education, he frequently engages with young musicians through Miami’s fantastic music education and social justice initiatives. He has been on the faculties of the Greater Miami Youth Symphony and the Community Arts Program, and currently serves as a Teaching Artist for the Miami Music Project while maintaining an active private studio. During the summer, he is faculty at the Frost School of Music Young
Musician’s Camp. Influential teachers in Brent’s musical education have included Wells Cunningham, Ross Harbaugh, and Nu Deco’s own, Aaron Merritt. He holds a Music Performance degree from the University of Miami Frost School of Music.
Violinist Anne Chicheportiche has been acclaimed for her "fierce assurance” by the Washington Post and for her "tonal sweetness, alert dynamic detailing, and commanding musicality" by The Miami Herald. She has performed various roles as soloist and in ensembles in Europe and the United States and premiered numerous works by contemporary composers. A passionate chamber musician, she has performed in various music festivals worldwide and in 2010, founded musimelange resulting in recognition by Brickell Magazine among the 20 most successful entrepreneurs in Miami under 40. Anne is also committed to music education, having taught at University of Texas Pan-American and currently at Miami Dade College, she also maintains a private violin studio in Miami, prioritizing the wellness of musicians in her teaching. Having lived in 10 cities globally, each move enriched Anne's musical perspective and commitment to community through music. She holds a doctorate in musical arts form University of Maryland University, a Master of Music from Depaul University, and Soloist Diploma from Geneva University of Music.
Julian Santacoloma is principal clarinetist for the Palm Beach Symphony and the Florida Grand Opera Orchestra. He was born in Colombia, he received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Florida International University. He has performed with multiple orchestra’s in Latin America and the U.S. He has also played with multiple artists such as Placido Domingo and Andrea Bocelli.
Dr. Robyn Savitzky is an active viola performer and instructor based in Miami, FL. She is a founding member of The Wild (a string quartet) and has performed in the viola sections of the Naples Philharmonic and the Florida Grand Opera. Currently Robyn performs daily for patients and caregivers as an Artist-in-Residence at the Miami Cancer Institute’s award-winning Arts in Medicine program. She has perfromed with artists such as Björk, Gloria Estefan, and Chick Corea. Robyn also performed on Jeremy Fox’s 2014 Grammy-nominated track “All My Tomorrows.” Originally from the Philadelphia area, Robyn received her Doctor of Musical Arts in Viola Performance from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music as a Teaching Assistant and Henry Mancini Institute Fellow. She also received her Artist Diploma from the
Frost School, and holds viola performance degrees from New York University and Indiana University.
Patrisa Tomassini resides in South Florida and performs with the Palm Beach Symphony, FCO, South Florida Orchestra and Boca Symphonia. Before moving to Florida Patrisa performed on Broadway in NYC with Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, The Thing About Men, The Light in the Piazza and Love Music. She has appeared on television with Andrea Boccelli, The Irish Tenors, Sean Puffy Combs and the SNL Orchestra, and the David Letterman Show. At Radio Music Hall with Bjork, U2, Sting, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra Jr, Cachao, Gloria Estefan, Meatloaf and Jazz at Merkin Hall and Dreaming the Duke at the Kennedy Center with Nnenna Freelon and Mike Garson, the Tanglewood Jazz Festival, the DC Jazz Festival with Paquito D'Rivera, as well as Hernan Romero. Tomassini had a musical part in the Netflix series Lillyhammer with Steven Van Zandt, and can be heard on recordings of James Carter, Regina Carter, Michael Jackson, Nnenna Freelon, Papo Vasquez, T.K. Blue, Paul Beaudry, and John Blake.
Vittoria Verrone was born in the picturesque city of Como, Italy, where her passion for music and singing started at a young age. She pursued her education by obtaining a Diploma in Jazz Vocals from Civici Corsi di Jazz di Milano, Italy. Vittoria’s impressive vocal ability led her to work extensively as a vocalist for a number of renowned Italian musicians and singers, contributing to a variety of performances and studio recordings. She showcased her unique and dynamic vocal range on various Italian television broadcasts, reaching a national audience. With experience in Gospel Chorus, Vocals, and Soul Music, Vittoria has established herself as a versatile performer with a strong and dynamic vocal range. She also collaborated with the Omnia Orchestra, directed by Maestro Bruno Sartori, integrating her jazz vocals with classical orchestration to create unique and engaging performances.Her talent and hard work have earned her spots in some of the most esteemed jazz festivals in Italy. She has participated in the “Iseo Jazz” Festival, where she performed to a discerning audience of jazz aficionados. She also showcased her vocal talent to a large audience at the esteemed “Bergamo Jazz” festival. Vittoria’s participation in the high-profile “Break in Jazz” festival in Milano contributed to its reputation as one of the leading jazz festivals in Italy.
