Sarah Rimkus – ‘Shall we gather at the river?’ c. 3’ 30” The soloists should be two female voices, voice parts at the ensemble’s discretion. The range may be appropriate for either soprano or alto. Noteheads in boxes indicate that singers should independently sing the short fragment repeatedly for the duration of the dark line, at their own tempo but not too quickly or too slowly – the sound should emulate that of a flowing river.
