THE MUSIC HALL’S EMERGING ARTIST GRANT PROGRAM
The Emerging Artist Grant program is made possible by the generous support of Karen & David Della Penta.
The Music Hall is proud to support the growth of emerging artists by presenting up-and-coming acts across all of our stages. With the Emerging Artist Grant, we are able to extend this aid beyond our own venues by making a financial contribution to artists’ growth. By awarding two $5,000 grand prize grants and three $2,500 runner-up grants to musicians actively performing contemporary music, we can support the projects that will contribute to their professional development. This financial support can allow artists to secure live performance opportunities, recording/studio time, produce music video content, and develop marketing assets and/or strategies. In addition to the financial support, The Music Hall team will help make valuable connections with industry professionals for grant recipients.

Spotlighting Tomorrow’s Stars:
The Music Hall’s Commitment to Emerging Artists
The Music Hall’s annual fundraising event, the Emerging Artist Benefit Concert supports our ability to present artists early in their careers, celebrating the next generation of superstars. For the second annual fundraiser in July 2024, we welcomed the incomparable Jason Mraz & The Superband. In demonstration of our commitment to nurturing artists, The Music Hall launched the Emerging Artist Grant Program in association with this benefit, awarding cash prizes to five musicians to help catapult their career to the next level.
We have since booked all five of these artists for repeat performances! Grand Prize Winners Sam Robbins and Dwayne Haggins both used their awards to fund the production of an album. What an honor for The Music Hall to laude the release of these albums with events at The Lounge for Sam on February 28 and Dwayne on May 30. Grant winner Skye Darling will open the evening for Dwayne; Harrison Goodell is back on stage May 2; and Halley Neal was the first to return as part of a trio on November 8, 2024.
Even as we prepare for the third Emerging Artist Benefit Concert featuring Sara Bareilles on May 11, 2025, and search for the next round of grant winners, Music Hall staff continue to mentor these artists and assist them in making valuable connections with industry professionals. We are grateful to the supporters of the EABC, including our Presenting Sponsor, McKeon Charitable, and to David and Karen Della Penta for underwriting the Emerging Artist Grant Program.
