STUDENT BIOGRAPHY This recital is presented as a degree requirement for a Bachelor of Music in music education and music performance. Alizon Lopez is a first generation Guatemex American violinist. She started her musical journey at Mission Music San Francisco as a part of the first wave of the program which offers low-income students free lessons. Lopez is a junior music education and music performance major at University of the Pacific where she studies violin with Professor Ann Miller and performs in orchestra and mariachi ensembles. With a background in both classical and mariachi music, and having grown up playing Afrobrazilian music, Lopez brings a personal perspective to her music-making influenced by a variety of styles and genres. She is very excited to teach everything she has learned to her future students.
